Need Help Identifying an old Commercial

Posted on 10/13/2006 12:23:12 PM PDT by sonsofliberty2000

Hello,

I am trying to recall an old commercial for a college class on Consumer Psychology. In the first ad the camera stays looking at a crossroads in the a desert area. Near the end of the commercial a fork drops onto the crossroads. In the next commercial the ad shows a car, not sure what kind, and it says, "Take the fork in the road." It was for a luxury car i believe. Anyone remember this ad?

Did it have an owl, asking how many licks it took to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?  I think that was for Charms Blow-pops.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

I think I remember a show on NBC. They had a GM truck and they said, "This truck will explode if you run over a fork in the road."

Something like that.

ROFL! I remember those. When I worked at a car dealership in Wheeling we had an old AMC Eagle on the lot that we had trouble selling. Someone found out we had it and bought the thing from out of state, Michigan. He paid for a truck to pick it up and carry it to him.

That was for the Kitchen Industries' 1978 salad fork.
Comfortable grip, elegant tines. Truly, a fork for the ages.

I lived near the Tootsie Roll factory in Chicago. The worst smelling place to drive by. To this day I cannot stand that candy. Reminds me of chocolate spit.
