APPLE CIDER VINEGAR CURES
Apple Cider Vinegar, that wonderful old-timers home remedy, cures more ailments than any other folk remedy -- we're convinced! From the extensive reader feedback we've received over the past 6 years, the reported cures from drinking Apple Cider Vinegar are numerous: allergies (including pet, food and environmental), sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, flu, chronic fatigue, candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, and gout. One reader reported that a shot of ACV saved him from going to the emergency room for heart pain. Apple Cider Vinegar also breaks down fat and is widely used to lose weight. It has also been reported that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water has soaring blood pressure under control in two weeks!
If you can get over the taste of apple cider vinegar, you will find it one of the most important natural remedies in healing the body.
Apple Cider Vinegar is also wonderful for dogs, cats, and horses. It helps them with arthritic conditions, controls fleas & barn flies, and gives a beautiful shine to their coats!

I use it with steamed crabs, but I heard drinking 6 oz. of ACV will truly screw up a drug test by urinalysis. High Times mag recommended keeping a bottle around.
Its been around for years. I've used it on and off. Unless you have heartburn problems it won't do you any harm. Don't substitute it for your blood pressure medicine. I confess to kind of liking the taste so I toss mine down with a shot glass.
I was wondering about the heartburn issue ....
For the best results make sure it has the "mother" still in the bottle.
What???

I've never tried it, so I wouldn't know:)
So do you drink it often? For what reasons?

ACV 4 later
First off, it's the secret to steaming crabs or lobster; which is what I've grown up on. I use it as a dipping sauce for the meat.
It's great in bbq sauce. Add some to the meat and then use a tomato based bbq sauce, or do it NC style and add salt, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.
It can be used in all sorts of marinades. I put in on tuna fish. Lot's of things.
It's great stuff.
Yes it does work , but my dr told me to just take 3 teaspoons because it "could" thin the blood. I don't know if its true but I stuck to that.
Well, I'm gathering from the link that 1-2 tablespoons a day is enough.

Yes it does work ,
Work for what? What are you taking it for? Becky
I like the taste of it but found that it was ineffective against my acid reflux.
Delta means the best ACV is the unfiltered, unpasteurized kind. It still has the live bacteria (the "mother") that creates vinegar in it. Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is a brand that can be found in a lot of super markets now, but you might have to a health food store to find unpasteurized ACV if your grocery store doesn't have it.
Nothing "cures" acid reflux. Acid reflux is a SYMPTOM, not a cause.
You can stave it off by neutralizing either what causes the reflux or the acidity itself.
As for the testimonials about this kind of stuff, see...

A cousin of mine had three kids with horrible repeated colds or sinus problems. He swore that 2 Tbsp in 4 oz of water, with a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, would clear up any nasal infection, and was the only thing that worked for his kids.
I admit that I tried it, and apart from the appalling taste (it doesn't hurt to pinch your nose as you swallow it down), it does seem to help. I haven't tried it for diet, since I have thyroid problems and regular acids of any kind is counterproductive to my thyroid medication.
