Week Six College Football
Week Five was a fun week if you were a Buckeye fan. The weekend started out with Auburn getting a severe test at South Carolina in the super tough SEC. Ohio State went to Iowa and dismantled the Hawkeyes. USC was pushed by Washington State and Florida received a good push by Alabama. This week features the Red River Shootout between Texas and Oklahoma and another great match up in the SEC when LSU visits Florida in the Swamp.
As always, all rankings are from the ESPN.com Scoreboard page. The betting lines (used sorely for the basis of predictions) are from Yahoo.com. I will list any games of interest (FReepmail me if you want your team included and I will include them from here on out) and any other games listed in my Yahoo league. I have a new feature this week. In each game that I do not have any confidence, or any game that I think a team could have an unexpected struggle, I will post a picture of a landmine for illustration.

I did a bit better with my picks this past week. I was 17-2 Straight Up and 13-5-1 Against the Spread.
88-14 Straight UP
61-38-3 Against the Spread
We have the best O in the Country and our best Team D we have ever had. We are very young at QB and RB w/lots of room for improvement. Dixon will be the best QB we have ever had and Stewart is already our best RB.
We are better than our 10-1 team that was one play from 11-1 and should have played you last year. Here's hoping we get to see you. We will play our best game at Cal, the most overhyped team in America.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
You all have to get by USC and Cal.
Cal is on a roll. It will take a great game out of Dixon for you all to get past them.
USC is a whole other level entirely, but one game at a time.
OH yeah.... :)
That entire area around the stadium is huge....it's fun to walk around, but if you aren't prepared for it, you'll be wiped out by the end of the day.
:)
I've been playing around trying to learn photoshop....
Just that two dimensional view of it alone it has to be massive. I don't know how an opposing team would ever come out of there with a W after you look up at 95k people or so and not soil themselves.
At Ohio Stadium?
It's like 106K :)
I guesstimated. :)
No there really isn't.
I live about a block or two north of where Wittenburg plays it's home games.
It's crazy on gameday.
I love it.
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan
the leaders and best
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
the champions of the West!
Fair enough...LLLLoyd is 6-5 vs. OSU, but 1-4 lately...
Oregon will "have to get by USC and Cal".
The Ducks should simply send a pre-game notice to the Cal locker room informing Cal that just for today, Oregon would like to be considered a non-conference opponent. And then, if recent history holds, Cal will crap all over themselves, roll around in it, fall completely apart and embarrass themselves with an ugly loss.
Cal should beat Oregon, they are a better team. But I'm hoping Oregon steps up and wins, just for all the embarrassment Cal has brought to the Pac-10 over the past three years.
It may not make much of a diffrence but you have Wake Forest at Clemson. One publication and one website I read have Clemson at Wake Forest.
LSU v. Florida should be great. But if LSU doesn't improve its running game, they could be in trouble. And the crowd noise could really be a problem.
A&M will never be out of the slump until this 2-million a tear coach starts doing what he is being paid to do.
If they lose to Kansas, Francione is fired. No doubt about it.
Thery barely beat army by the skin of their teeth.
With 3 times the talent.
I expect another low-scoring game, like the LSU-Auburn game.
What's the deal with the flashing garbage cans?
My team is Georgia Tech, and it looks like it could be a great weekend with a Tech win vs. Maryland (I'll be there) followed by the Georgia Bulldawgs getting beaten by the first real team they've played all season-- Tennessee.
Go Jackets!
