Help! Almost two years ago, hubs began having an itchy rash. The only thing that calms it is taking steroids, not good. It's been a tossup whether it's a dermatological or an allergy problem. He's seen two dermatologists who've biopsied and found nothing.
Also, full battery of allergy tests and is allergic to a lot, soy in particular. It's said that the rash is possibly a form of psoriasis that lasts 2-5 years. When it's full bore he scratches while asleep and wakes up bleeding.
Any help would be appreciated...thank you...
Ohno! I hope this isn't it...hubs drinks beer after work!
Berkely? Well, there you go! It was infested with liberalism. ;o)
Does he have any history of atopic eczema?
No. I've just bought the skin zinc and a friend remarked that he could have contact dermatitis. He said he had it and switched to baby shampoo and Dove soap and he's fine!
Thank you! I just walked to Walgreens and bought the lotion and spray kit! Bless you!
Thank you. We switched to "free" detergents for clothes a long time ago. I've checked the beds and we've bought a new one [we have a vacation home I checked, too.]
I check the beds at hotels now. All the time.
Has he by any chance been using the sweetner "Splenda"? It will cause a rash, mostly on the face, and it has other side effects that are not well known. I suffered from them this past summer. Google Splenda side effects.
Becky
He recently began using another one I have because it's easier to pour than sugar. I've been going to a new doctor for bioidentical hormones and he said all artificial stuff is bad for us. Sweetner in particular!
DOCTOR: Elaine. You shouldn't be reading that. So tell me about this rash of yours.
ELAINE: Well it's, it's..... You know I noticed that somebody wrote in my chart that I was difficult in January of 92 and I have to tell you that I remember that appointment exactly. You see this nurse asked me to put a gown on but it was a mole on my shoulder and I specifically wore a tank top so I wouldn't have to put a gown on. You know there made of paper.
DOCTOR: Well that was a long time ago. How about if I just erase it. Now about that rash......
ELAINE: But it was in pen. You fake erase.
DOCTOR: All right Miss Benes. This doesn't look to serious. You'll be fine.
ELAINE: What are you writing? Doctor.
Hahahaha, yes, and didn't Kramer have it too?
I like Cosmo. He's like that guy on Taxi but different. And he thinks he's such a gift to the ladies. Bwahahahaha!
Funny, I was reading your story and I was trying trying to figure out who "hubs" was. I thought maybe it was a nickname for someone named Hub Cap or something. LOL!! I read some more and finally deducted it was your husband.
I haven't heard that term before but then, I lead a very sheltered life.
I'm don't think Lyme Disease causes a rash. If it's Lyme Disease, go to Mexico and buy Rulid, an antibiotic.
Actually, he prefers hubster to spousal unit. Often, I call him Rockstar or Smudge. He calls me Smooch.
You should get out more. ;o)
I don't think it's Lyme's either. He gets it on the bottom of his feet. Wouldn't Lyme's cause fever?
Smooch? Are you sure it isn't "Schmoopy"?
You should get out more. ;o)
You may be on to something. LOL
I want the antidote, Pimple Popper MD!
Is "hubs" your spouse, a dog, or a cat???
