PETA didn't do anything when Santa Monica killed the hundreds of squirrels either.
As long as the people murdering animals are also liberals, PETA doesn't care. They only go after "the rich" for wearing mink coats.

We feed squirrels here --- we all have squirrel feeders in our yards.
Hysterical! Sounds like the recipients of welfare: Free food, clothing, shelter, and gambling money, which, when taken away, causes them to complain and riot.
Looks like a very elementary lesson for lib-weenies about what happens when people (squirrels) feel they're entitled to handouts. A free lesson and in a sunny park too. How perfect!!!!!

@$%%$E$^&^%!!!! Squirrels!!! They eat the upholstery on my deck, and leave footprints all over my white furniture! I'd poison them, but have two beautiful feral cats living under my juniper and won't risk harming them.

In the wild squirrels plant nuts more nuts then they eat which helps the forest to spread. As this is usually not a desirable thing inside city limits where tree roots often cracks roads and sidewalks not to mention causing problems with the sewer and water system I can not think of one desirable reason to have squirrels in the city.
We aren't allowed to shoot the coyotes which are now roaming free in Western New York suburbs. So we can't allow our neutered cats to roam for fear of the coyotes. SO, our town says we have rats, and must NOT feed the birds w/o an approved bird feeder, which means the squirrels will starve.
WHY NOT JUST SHOOT THE COYOTES?
Isnt it telling our incompetent government will focus
on small mammals but feign powerlessness when confronted
with really cheap laborers who have broken numerous laws
which the incompetent government is in charge of enforcing.

Personally, I don't feed the squirrels. It's not that I have anything against squirrels, but after I get finished feeding the pigeons I don't have any food left.
Squirrels provide food for Hawks who also work on the
rat and mouse population.
