An aggressive squirrel pounced on a 4-year-old boy in an attack last week in Cuesta Park in Mountain View. The attack happened as the boy's mother unwrapped a muffin during a picnic.
Ironically, efforts to curb the behavior may have exacerbated the squirrels' aggressive tendencies, Muela said.
This summer, the city installed new trash receptacles featuring metal tops with a latch that makes it nearly impossible for an animal to rummage through the can in search of food. Increased park ranger patrols and flier distributions cautioning against feeding the animals might have further cut the squirrels' food supply, prompting them to act more assertively in their quest for food.
As a last resort, the city is now looking to trap the animals for possible euthanization, Muela said.

Now they want to euthanize them.
They murdered a bunch of innocent squirrels in Santa Monica too.
The squirrels aren't sick, they are fairly tame, and much nicer than all the aggressive homeless, whom the cities allows to practically attack people trying to enjoy the park ( this is from the Santa Monica ). I think that in the San Francisco area they are also letting the homeless accost people.
But they aren't allowing people to have fun and feed the squirrels, who weren't harming anyone.
The squirrels have learned a lesson from the Islamofascists.

NO cats or dogs, just city planning to "euthanize" a bunch of healthy innocent squirrels, after cutting off their foodsupply.
You may or may not want to ping your lists, but this is ageneral "government against innocent animals".
Indeed .. look at all the trouble Orlando got when they tried to get the mobile soup kitchens to stop feeding (and thereby attracting) the homeless in the public park. I'd take the squirrels any day over that mess.
Other than being potentially cute, what is a single positive benefit from a squirrel? Seriously.
Where's the well hung squirrel picture?
The solution is to feed squirrels to the homeless.
This is horrible. I wonder why we don't here from PETA on this one?

That's a very poor analogy and a great insult to the squirrels. Squirrels don't attack anyone out of malice as the terrorists do. The squirrels are hungry and desperate.
Food.
Obviously, women and children hardest hit.

Sounds like the squirrel mistook the liberals for nuts. Mr. Squirrel, when we call the liberals nuts, we mean it figuratively.
