Try Yahoo or goDaddy.com but I bet they're more than $10/yr. I'm sure there's a zillion others out there as well but good service costs money, the trick is getting your moneysworth these days.
Good hunting

Don't most service providers like SBC Yahoo offer free hosting?

I've been with www.Lunarpages.com since mid 2004 and it's been fine. It's 85 or so bucks a year though.

I use godaddy.com ... or you could find a free hosting provider and use zonedit.com and forward the traffic cloaked to free site...

I've had two sites with GoDaddy.com for a couple years (ever since their first Super Bowl ad). They've been great. You can get the hosting down to about 5 bucks a month if you go for two years and don't need more than a couple e-mail accounts associated with your website.

If you're just avoiding the pitfalls of free hosting, try WestHost. Two years advance pay gets it down to $3.95 a month, and they'll throw in a free domain. Standard is three emails, 250 MB disk, 10 GB/month bandwidth (although they're currently running a special, so triple all that). You get some basic applications and a web-based management tool.

Actually, it may be a little more than you need.

"goDaddy.com"

I'd nix godaddy.com

Too many deceptive menus and other clutter get in the way of a single essential task: putting htm and other files on a web server for delivery as web pages.

godaddy performance is also pretty poor. god knows how many sites they're hosting on a single server.

This is the hosting service I use for my Varmint Al web site. They keep giving me more and more options and bandwidth, actually more than I can currently use. The new packages are very reasonably priced. In 3 years, the total down time has been about 2 days.

Good Hunting... from Varmint Al

I started at my hosting service with 10 MB space, one email, shared server, and unlimited bandwidth (that didn't mean much in the days of dialup where it was hard for a private site to go over a few GB a month). Now for the same price I get 40 GB bandwidth, 2 GB storage, private virtual server and unlimited emails with a powerful admin utility.

I've had good luck with GoDaddy. My site always seems to be up.

Thanks everyone... for my own personal sites I use midphase they are great but at $85.00 a year is steep for my client that only wants a simple page, url, and email. Like I said before I use to use zerodollars ($10 per year) great deal but they suck it can take as long as 24 hours to weeks before you even hear back from them after paying, plus sometimes you have to have your order canceled because the NEVER get back to you, other times its FAST and up and running in hours.... I have several site with them currently but am affraid to go back because of the last few clients wont go there because of bad experiences. I guess you get what you pay for but sometimes you pay and get nothing but headeaches.
