tonight, breaking news in the case of a couple apparently kidnapping their own daughter in an attempt to get her to abort the baby: we learn that the parents may have been upset because the father is black!

Hey,in China,India and,I suspect,other parts of the world,the misfortune of being female is enough to get you aborted.In China,the state forces you to get an abortion if you already have a child.

So why can't these parents ensure racial purity by demanding that that half-black monstrosity be killed?

Who's to say the parents are lefties? Though it wouldn't surprise me if they are. I've seen hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle. Nothing astonishes me anymore . . . I think.

I dealt with a situation exactly like this in my personal life, though instead of kidnapping the parents used heavy coercion to get their 16 year old daughter to make the right "choice". Both parents asked me to help coerce the daughter & both reacted quite angrily when I told them I couldn't.

On this site, people will say the parents are left-wing b/c they endorse abortion.

On DU, people will say the parents are right-wing b/c they are racists who don't want a (half)black grandchild.

The way I see it is that we cannot know whether or not these freak parents are "left" or "right." Can't we just agree that they are sickos?

Yes, you are right, for some of them. There are several different "it is the right winger fault" reason floating around. They are saying the parents are right winger because only right winger would do something like this. That the parents wanted to force an abortion on their child because they didn't want to pay to raise their grandchild. That the parents are some kind of republican plant (see raccoonradio's post above) or the story is a republican plant.

There's a fine line between "developers" and "the mob" in the Northeast. I think it's pretty clear which side the Kampfs are on. And ethnicity is a big deal mob circles. So probably they are technically Democrats, but give votes and money only in exchange for kickbacks, not because of any political principles.
