The ***Official*** Weekend Singles Thread - The NO THREAD Thread(September 15-17)
DollyCali and All of the Singles & their FRiends | September 15, 2006 | DollyCali

Posted on 09/15/2006 12:38:29 PM PDT by DollyCali

OH NO!!!!!

It’s The
"I HAVEN’T GOT THE THREAD DONE"
Thread.

Sigh, yes, dear Abby/Dolly will have to wait yet another week, as a combination of my procrastination, Murphy’s visit, and normal SNAFUs have contributed.

And since I only have 3 questions there is STILL time for you to submit your to me via FReepMail. And I REALLY am not trying to hog all the threads.
( even though it SURE looks like it )

So for this weekend, in addition to the normal chit chat, let’s just call this a Favorite Thread. Post your favorites in life

Graphics,
fav pix of your pets,
If you are bold, Pix of your “ex”,
Recipes,
Sport Teams
Jokes or
Rants.

In other words.. Anything goes (well within the guidelines of decency & FR guidelines!!!)

I'm afraid I would freak out bad if I was told my area was under tornado watch...I'm not very daring when it comes to nature's fury!

99% of the weather warnings are to get the ignorant to do something. The rest know what to do.

Night all. Got to get up early for coffee with my demo friends. Reality is a challenge...

By the time I'm 56, I won't even want to bother.

I say be ready to meet your potential future spouse, anywhere, at any time, not just from volunteering. Personally, for me, I drew the line at meeting people at work (100,000 reasons why this is a bad idea), but as far as I'm concerned, anything else is fair game.

Volunteering, shopping, walking the dog, surfing the net, going to a ballgame, wedding, grocery story, auto shop, theatre, a decent bar, restaurant, walking down the street, getting gas, doing laundry, going to church, swimming, on your vacation, a book club. Anywhere. Keep volunteering, and keep putting yourself in the position of meeting someone new. That means getting out of the house and doing some activity that incorporates the public, or meeting new people on a consistent basis.

Yah, I used to be fascinated by the opening of Bond movies with all the silhouette effects and stuff.

I walked in the door about 30 minutes ago. Hubby and I grilled steak and taters with our landlord and ate out in the back tonight. (Followed by my favorite stogie.) We watched the cats romp around the backyard chasing moths and bugs and getting all "wild" as the sun set. Cats are funny animals.

I tend to agree that meeting people at work is a bad idea although I know of a few couples at work who met there. Under the right circumstances, I might date someone from work, but I'd tend to avoid that practice.

Do you think it's improper to approach a woman when she's at work? For instance, is it improper to ask a clerk at a store for her number? I've always pretty much taken the approach that I wouldn't want to approach a woman at her workplace because it could be awkward for her. If the only place where I know her is her workplace, then I just don't express my interest. Of course, even this restriction is something of a joke for me. I can't remember the last time that I ran into someone who seemed even close to being someone I'd want to date. Restricting myself to not asking a woman out at her workplace is meaningless if the situation never arises.

Bill
