DollyCali and All of the Singles & their FRiends | September 15, 2006 | DollyCali

Posted on 09/15/2006 12:38:29 PM PDT by DollyCali

OH NO!!!!!

It’s The
"I HAVEN’T GOT THE THREAD DONE"
Thread.

Sigh, yes, dear Abby/Dolly will have to wait yet another week, as a combination of my procrastination, Murphy’s visit, and normal SNAFUs have contributed.

And since I only have 3 questions there is STILL time for you to submit your to me via FReepMail. And I REALLY am not trying to hog all the threads.
( even though it SURE looks like it )

So for this weekend, in addition to the normal chit chat, let’s just call this a Favorite Thread. Post your favorites in life

Graphics,
fav pix of your pets,
If you are bold, Pix of your “ex”,
Recipes,
Sport Teams
Jokes or
Rants.

In other words.. Anything goes (well within the guidelines of decency & FR guidelines!!!)

Just checked. It's raining like crazy and lightning like hell! Got tornadoes on top of it. See you all later if the storm passes.

Starting to be fun too!

Saw movie Hollywoodland tonight. It was a choice between about 4 & this is the one my date was interested in. I will see them all eventually on big screen so the order is NOT impt.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hollywoodland/

Decent cast. Adrian Brody, Diane Lane, Ben Affleck and it is about the suicide/murder investigation of George Reeve the man who played Superman in the late 50's/early 60s on TV.

And always.. shock of shock.. Affleck did a good job... best I have ever seen from him. I felt he got into the skin of G. Reeves.

It is interesting that the movie superman was Christopher Reeve who died early & tragically & the same with George Reeves the original.

Little bit of mafia/hollywood style, humor, tragedy of the Hollywood glitter/artifical values, etc. Interesting ending.

I would recommend it. sexual & alcohol abuse in movie so might scrutinize for your kids.

I'm sure it does, although I haven't been to Cedar Point since 2000, when I went there one last time before moving down here.

I used to like these parks more years ago. I love the fast & furious rides but NOT THE ONE HOUR PLUS wait in line for them. I am not a particularly patient person & not into those.

When I lived in Cinti & went to Kings Island on P & G day(the company rented the park) it was heavenly. Ride lines short & got in a lot of them.

I'm generally an upbeat person...that's an easy order to follow! I've got two little ones who have only rarely seen me cry!

Just got this in email from dear FReeper friend Jtill.. a little humor tonight...

@@@

Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties & local pubs to be alert and remain cautious when offered a drink by any woman. Many females use a date rape drug on the market called "Beer." The drug is found in liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in cans, bottles, or from taps and in large "kegs".

Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and sleep with them. A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of Beer and then ask him home for some no-strings attached sex.

Men are rendered helpless against this approach. After several beers, men will often succumb to the desires to sleep with horrific looking women to whom they would never normally be attracted.

After drinking beer, men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling that "something bad" occurred.

At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings, in a familiar scam known as "a relation-ship."

In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as "marriage."
Men are much more susceptible to this scam after beer is administered and sex is offered by the predatory females.

Please! Forward this warning to every male you know.

If you fall victim to this "Beer" scam and the women administering it, there are male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly victimized men.

For the support group nearest you, just look up "Golf Courses" in the Yellow Pages.

I think when you are NOT LOOKING for a mate/girlfried etc.. is exactly WHEN you will find her. It seems for me all the really special men in my life were not via dating sites, the internet etc. but just "chance" situations.

"Chance" has never been kind to me. The things that turn out best in my life are the things over which I have the most control.

I have met many men biking, kayaking, hiking etc..doing the things I love to do.

A woman who likes these things is going to meet men because more men than women do them. A woman like you who enjoys these things is a rare and precious find.

BTW, dont think I commented but your new critter is a cutie.

Thanks, I like him/her so far, but I wish I knew for certain that he ate today. I don't see any of the crickets that I put in the cage, but half the time, I can't see him either.

Bill

I'm back! The front moved through. Only two hours left for the tornadoes and that's no big deal unless you get hit.
