McGreevey 'in love' from the first kiss ("We made passionate, whispering, masculine love”)
The Star Ledger ^ | Friday, September 15, 2006 | Mark Mueller

Posted on 09/15/2006 7:55:45 AM PDT by dead

In his highly anticipated memoir, former Gov. James E. McGreevey writes of his deep love for the man who ended his political career, the destruction of his second marriage and the events that forced him into his stunning admission on national television that he is gay.

In "The Confession," the former governor also touches on New Jersey's sometimes seamy political landscape, where cash, cronyism and a handful of powerful men intersect.

But the 384-page book focuses mostly on McGreevey's secret life, from his frequent sexual encounters with men at highway rest stops to his infatuation with Golan Cipel, the Israeli national McGreevey plucked from obscurity and placed on the state payroll as his homeland security adviser.

Though electrified by Cipel from their first meeting in Israel, where McGreevey was on a trade mission in 2000, the former governor said the two did not have sexual rela tions until early December 2001, when Dina Matos McGreevey was in the hospital for the birth of the couple's daughter, Jacqueline.

As a State Police guard detail waited outside the then-governor elect's Woodbridge condominium, McGreevey took Cipel by the hand and led him upstairs.

"We undressed and he kissed me. It was the first time in my life that a kiss meant what it was supposed to mean -- it sent me through the roof," he writes. "I was like a man emerging from 44 years in a cave to taste pure air for the first time, feel direct sunlight on pallid skin, warmth where there had only ever been a bone-chilling numbness.

"I pulled him to the bed and we made love like I'd always dreamed: a boastful, passionate, whispering, masculine kind of love."

Seriously though, what is the purpose of posting this?

It's a front page article in the state's largest newspaper, about the former most powerful man in the state.

Hi All-

"...In his highly-anticipated memoir..."

Says whom, a leftwinger newspaper journalist? It will be very interesting to read about the minimal number of copies this snoozefest will sell in the marketplace. I really don't believe people give a rat's patootie about a disgraced politician who has been out of office for years.

There was a time when a man that would cheat on his wife like this with a woman would be thought a creep, a cad and a rat bastard, and this piece of offal is trying to make it sound like some beautiful experience because he did it with another guy. How far we have fallen. Thanks again to the Clinton legacy for kicking our moral outraged down a notch. BAM!

Kinda reminds me of the story where they put a frog in the stovepot, and turned the heat up bit by bit so he hardly noticed. "Hey, is it hot in here, or is it just...GAK!"

"Who the hell gives a damn, anyway?"

Sexually disordered mentalities who desperately want to force people into believing they are normal.

How nice that his daughter Jacqueline will get to read this for herself someday.
What a selfish selfish man.

Getting buttslammed while your wife is in the hospital giving birth to your daughter.

This must be the 'family values' the dummiecrats keep on talking about.
