When you find a liability attorney willing to sign off on hydrogen use for the general public, let me know...

Hydrogen in America is just a pipe dream. It may be an option for other country's, but not here...

The first time some drunk hooks his rusty nozzle up at the filling station, and blows away a city block, it's over...
Unlimited Civil liability will assure that hydrogen is NEVER used widely in America...

Sounds like when natural gas was ran to everyones home. "OMG, everyone will blow themselves up"....Technology CAN and WILL make this right.

I actually wrote about the occasion in my diary the last time our windshield was cleaned, without paying extra, at a gas station. It was in Texas, Sonora I believe, in the late 1990's. The man's name was Jim.

$2.24 in Richmond along Jeff Davis. I have seen it also at $2.29 and $2.35 on my way to work.

Interesting also how the great 'GLOBAL WARMING HURRICANE EPIDEMIC' scare mongers have been kept quiet during this hurricane season, eh?

Gee..wonder why THAT isn't being reported by the MSM.

"Pray - why don't you educate us simple folk?"

Google is always good resource, or you can search the thousands of threads regarding this matter that are on FR.

That is a distraction and frankly, it takes a gallon of oil to make a just over a gallon of ethanol
And how many cubic feet of Natural gas does it take to make the Hydrogen from your link?

Until you can magically disassociate Hydrogen from Oxygen, anything powered by Hydrogen is going to be a net energy loser. Energy loser = Market Loser = Not the future.

Well, aside from the obvious CLEAN aspect of it, the obvious removal of the middle east oil, the 3rd generation and future generations will deliver what we need. I hate to break the news, but oil pumped from the ground, shipped and refined then shipped and transported is also a Net Energy Looser. This is something that WILL continue to grow. Maybe the USA won't do it, but we seem to always be last when it comes to getting out of the oil business. Gee, I wonder why!.

Besides, I already have natural gas ran to my house. Haven't blown myself up yet!

Here in the California desert, even 2.99 would have a line all the way to Arizona...

Expect to pay even more after Arnold, the Rats and enviro-nazis get through adding the carbon tax to the already stringent anti-pollution requirements that refineries in CA have to comply with. It's one thing to require emissions standards for NOx, SOx to reduce visible pollution (the brown cloud) -- we know that works. But to require reductions in carbon emissions only to make the enviros feel good as it may have an impact on speculative "global warming" is another.

Paying for gas when visiting California will be as costly as filling up in European countries. I'm surprised that gas stations haven't been mandated to price gas per liter (vs. per gallon) to trick the sheeple into thinking its cheaper that way.

You haven't answered my specific query. When you make assertions (and accuse others of ignorance), as you do on this thread, be prepared to back up your statements with a source or two. I know Google is a good resource as is FR. That still doesn't explain the $1 difference that I raised in my previous posts on this thread.

Do you have a source or were you disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing?

"Someone please tell me what is so different now than 6 months ago to have caused this price drop other than an election being two months away?"

Peak summer demand is over? People driving less? More refineries back on line? Concerns about a bad hurricane season affecting the gulf are way, way down? Could be these and many more reasons. Oil prices are based in part on speculation and the speculation that there would be shortages never panned out, so prices are falling.

Bush's fault!

No it isn't. It's a good thing, so according to the leftist playbook Bush can't have any responsibility for it.

Thanks!! Do you think these could contribute to this significant difference between states (almost a Dollar's difference in prices)? Additionally, don't these factors affect other high-tax, enviro-fanatic states like NJ too?
