Luddism - the behavior paradigm of those who are anti-technology/anti-science due to the belief, justified or mistaken, that science threatens some thing or belief they hold dear.

I am very into science...and also into Christianity at the same time, not feeling the two world views in conflict, but I have had many loved ones and friends who came to different conclusions. It's not a place where I draw the line, because the reasons why people come to that point are complex and connected to viewpoints they hold dearly, and reality is what it is no matter what anybody believes. But I can understand how that can be a heavy burden.
I wish you well,

I will miss many of you on this pinglist, and many others I have forgotten to ping, but I cannot continue to financially support or patronise a site now explicitly dedicated to Luddism. Well, my main interest is in politics and I must say, I haven't experienced the luddism you are talking about. At any rate, I wish you luck whatever you do.

Best wishes to you in your future endeavors. I'll miss your composition and rhetoric.

You're splitting? Gads, that is a tinkle in my corn flakes. I wish that you were not toddling-off, but if you think that you must do so, then please stay in touch, ol' bean.

Well, when all's done, may ye be found by Him to've done well. Godspeed.

I'm not the brightest or most articulate amongst us, but I know bad news when I hear it. And this is bad news.
Farewell, Majesty. It has been an honor and a pleasure.

Yeah... the Road Kill ping list is kinda defunct at this point. I haven't been getting pings either. All good things must come to an end, I suppose.

You'll be missed K.P.

Jeebus....
You've been here long enough to know that you have to sometimes take the bad with the good here. These things are cyclic and always get worse around an election. Choose your battles wisely and ignore the rest.
If you gotta go, fare thee well.

I think if one is a true scientist, one also has to believe in Order. Order is not random. It does not come from a Big Bang. If you are aware of the Orderliness of space and the Human body and mind, then you must draw the conclusion that we are not here randomly, and that our recent discoveries in outer space, the speed of technology since the mid-180o's and man's ability to overcome disease are also not random but orderly. The Big Bang does not allow for that Order.
