Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

But if you cook it, you lose most of the moisture. Which could be a concern, depending on how long you've been stuck...

Yup - It's a fern... I think it looks magical because it's so green behind, like the snow's only in one spot.
To: Ramius
but it doesn't do it every time. Or does it?
Well... I'm on a regular computer now. Yeesh. I've got no clue why the phone browser tends to double up on posts. That's really odd. Doggone it.

But if you cook it, you lose most of the moisture. Well, sure... but if you put it on the grill and braze it quickly on both sides, you can seal in most of the juices. Especially if you've marinated it ahead of time.
Then let it grill on a lower fire, and it should be fine.
BAM!! Let's take it up a notch... :-)

Thanks both of you. I'll probably do a combination of the resources I've found and what you've shared.

You're welcome. You said you're going to put some of the info on your blog? I'll have to check it out during Advent, then!

Yeah, if I can get my act together I want to start something on Friday (Dec. 1) and carry it through Epiphany.

The front looks like it's entering your area...
It is currently just to our NW. Already starting to snow just one county to the NW of us.

More like 20 here.
I *love* this weather! Cold and dry and the roads are clear...but for some reason there wasn't much traffic out there. Week after Thanksgiving, I guess.
It's lovely. But tonight...it's back to wintry mix. Oh, joy.

It just dropped 4 degrees...it's 68 out there now. I have the jedis out in the back yard "experiencing" it...because it should be a rapid drop.

They're predicting frozen stuff this afternoon and evening. It's debatable on whether there's going to be any accumulation...the ground is still warm from the 60 and 70 degree temperatures we've had lately.
I need to clean up the garage so the car will fit. :)
