Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, I made it. Actually didn't think it was that bad, which I guess means I'm lucky, considering the stories I'm hearing from others. It was slow and a little slick in some lanes, but the not-interstate roads were actually better today than they were yesterday.

Was more worried I'd end up falling on my rear in the parking lot after all the effort of getting here...

If we got an aerial shot, would there be a big clear spot around your house?

Nope, and it's very cold and very dry. Just about an inch here under the trees, maybe a bit more in the pasture.

I need to get muh bread, milk, and eggs this afternoon. They're predicting wintry mix and snow at times for the next couple of days.

Heh...I love my dog. ;-) That still shot is actually a very handsome portrait, if not as accurate...

He was sooooo pleased with the snow this morning. I let him out for a bit while I made coffee and all and when I let him back in he was spinning in circles, he was so excited.

He's a moron. What can I say? But he's never heard of depression.

No, I won't watch it on TNT because I don't want to fool with the commercials, or take up the time on the DVR. We have all the DVD's, so I could watch it anytime. I haven't seen them in a while, so I do need to watch them again!

At least the commercial breaks would leave a lot of time for chat. ;o)
