The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You're bad, you know.

Talon and I had a fun trip to Chicago. Yesterday we drove around the city looking for a pizza place and a used book store. We found both and it was great.

Good Morning ALL:

OT; well, still no rain here, does 93% humidity count? Great T-Day visit with LSA's Dad. Gypsygirl had an excellent adventure and is getting to be quite the traveler. She certainly enjoyed all the new sniffs there.

Hair, do you think you could sent just a bit of your rain this way? We've got to water again...

I don't have a dress like that, remarkably.

It was a fun trip. It's really good to be home.

Yeah, really. When are we going to get some rain?

I don't know whether to clean up storm damage today or wash wallpaper glue off the walls.

Helped sister get the last of the wallpaper off in the bathroom yesterday. What fun!

I've put this off far too long. The leaves await. Spent all day yesterday leafing...and just got the driveway done. Mower should be charged now...

Brother-in-law is coming over also to help move an outdoor outlet. Goobers that owned the house before us built the deck and covered the outdoor outlet. So I've had to crawl under every year to plug in the Stormhand's Holiday Light Extravaganza™.

See y'all later.

Hmmm, storm damage or wall paper stripping, good choices...I'd opt for the outside clean up, but that's me.

Good luck to ya. Today we're putting up our fabulous artificial tree and our (two strings of) outdoor lights.

Been catching up, great job with tree removal. The tree is down and you are both uninjured, good job in my book. Loved the video, any chance we'll see it on the TV?

I left music on for him this time around...can't recall if I did that last time or not. It probably makes no difference, but....

I always leave the radio on when I leave Gypsy alone; otherwise I figure it's like sensory deprivation for her; no movement, no noise....LSA

the menfolk had their turkey shoot whilst we were in the middle of meal preparation so I didn't participate. :(

It was warm with a blazing sun and no shade at the shooting place where Dad and OB went, so I had to stay with Gypsy in the car with all the windows rolled down so she wouldn't get overheated :-( Who would have thought that would be a problem towards the end of November!!!

We haven't seen Family Man

Gonna have to get that one from Netflix. We've seen several of his more violent ones, Bringing Out the Dead, Lord of War, Gone in 60 Seconds, and one of my favorites, Con Air.

Oh, and we saw Windtalkers the other night. It was pretty good, though, being a war movie, it was pretty violent, too!

Our fabulous artifical tree went up earlier. It is three feet tall. It came pre-lit. We added some cranberry garland and some blue and red shiny balls. It looks pretty cute.

I need to write 6k words today. Nnngh.
