Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh heh!
Honestly, if that car falls on anyone while off the chassis...it could kill someone!
It'll be chained to the sawhorses.
Sheesh, I can't wait till you see these suckers. Massive. That's the word for them. You reach down to wiggle them or try to scoot them...they don't budge. They're solid as rocks. Steve can move them, but it takes all I've got.
I'm really so excited. It's fixin' to get intense. What we're fixin' to do has been looming for a while, but we can't do anything more...alas, it would be pointless to go on, until this gets done. The car is structually unsound until this gets done...we can't even haul it anywhere to have the engine worked on.
And we've got 4 days off coming up!
It's so fun having the Hobbit Hole tires on there...the car rolls so easily! I get Matthew out there and we push it out into the driveway with no effort at all...then, when we get it out of the shop, Joshua's job is to chock the tires.
I know I know...I'm going on and on. I'm just real excited!

Well don't look at me. I am at work and you have the camera AND the puppies.
To: TalonDJ
But I'm writing *whine*
Puppies are loving this. They are just rolling around the floor wrestling. Guess I should get them out again soon.

We worked on those sawhorses all day on Saturday, then Sunday, after worship, we started again. About four hours later, Steve began to look a bit tuckered out. I suggested we call it a day, even though it was only 5pm. He went in, took a shower and sat in his recliner and didn't budge for about 6 hours. LOL!!!!

Good call! Saved your man just in time :-D
We are going to be using a part of this holiday to get back to work on the basement. It has been stalled out for months. For some STRANGE reason we never seem to find the time for it... I can't imagine why.

If it was all together (wiring, motor, and such) you could literally drive the chassis down the street without the body on!You may not be old enough to remember, but Chevrolet used to have commercials that showed just that; a chassis driving down the street!

I'll keep a lookout for some of those flavors. The grocery store I usually go to doesn't have Green Mountain. It has JaVaNa and Starbucks. BJ's is where I got the Cinnamon Gingerbread; it's the Millstone brand. The store on the other side of town might have Green Mountain coffee, though. Next time I'm over that way I'll check it out!

Cinnamon Gingerbread
That really sounds yummy. We just have the Millstone Pumpkin Spice and Holiday Peppermint. As long as they have our staple, Black Onyx, we're happy, though.

I had a good day.
Spent nearly two hours briefing the uber-duber big chief muckety-muck. At the end of it he said, "Good work."
Boy, I tell you it doesn't take much to make me happy.
