The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Jr. and I were giggling like middle schoolers. It was good father/son time.

As painful as the situation was, it will be a good memory for him. Somthing y'all can bring up from time to time; "Remember that old lady with the farts...?"

Heh heh!!

Honestly, once we finish them (one is done, the other almost) you could seriously set a semi on them. They are sturdy! They don't shake or anything.

They're both 8 feet long.

Those will be great for working on the bug. How far off the ground will it be when it's up on them?

They have a clearance underneath of about 30 inches. So the top of the sawhorse is a few inches taller (the size of a 4x4 inch post). So the bottom of the Bug body will be sitting about 34 inches up in the air and the chassis (the part with the wheels and floor pans and such) will be stored underneath. The chassis stands about 26 inches tall (including the shock towers)

If it was all together (wiring, motor, and such) you could literally drive the chassis down the street without the body on!

I'm hoping we'll get the body off by the end of this week.

Just remember, we're your friends.

We'll help you bury it.

What? Oh.....nevermind...

*sigh*

I'm missing Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' Holiday and Christmas special blends and flavors. Pumpkin spice, eggnog, usually some sort of Christmas blend...

I miss their Mountain Blueberry, too. It really doesn't sound like it'd go with coffee, but oh, it does!

Great...I get to listen to Louis Prima in my head for the rest of the afternoon.

Better than some alternatives, though.

I have novocaine issues.

I just hate how it makes my mouth feel for hours afterward. Blah. But I did find the used bookstore and get happy books. I need to finish the floor and do some writing. So far behind...

Ugh...I hate that. My sympathy!

I'm brainstorming today instead of writing. I'm really frustrated because I still haven't figured out the solution to the plot hole that's existed since day one. You'd think after a few years, I'd have it figured out. I jumped it for a brief time, but now I really have to explain everything so I can get to the end of the story.

Sheesh, how long has it been since I posted here? I must be slipping.

Actually it just that work was going badly. It is going marginally better now.

Too bad I gave up on nano. With work being stressful the extra ‘must write’ stress was more than I needed.

I figured as long as I have been away a little while I am due for a ‘precious semi-blatant recap spam’.

Though I guess Jen has been keeping yall up to date so a recap is not needed.

Mine!

Is talking to yourself the first sign we are going crazy or the last sign Precious?
