Yeah. Work + life + my grad courses = eek! Add in Nano and it'll be 'ACK!'
Good morning all!
Matthew has a podiatrist appt here in a bit.
~sip~
That's what Nano's for after all.

It's a shame because I want to invest much more "more" in my story this year. This one means a lot to me.
Heh...hi Corin bye Corin!
I'm logging off for now...the appt is in about an hour and I gotta get moving...
Me too but I still have no clue what I am going to write this year.
Good morning :~)
Let us know how the podiatrist goes!
You still have all October to come up with a plot.
I need to invest some strategizing time at some point. Basically just to review my plot and fill in the holes.
I have a few vague ideas for a plot, which is more than I usually have...so I guess I'm not worried.
But I really don't want to leave my current story behind. *sigh* The characters are now in impossible situations, and I think it'll take more than October to get the knots untied. I hate leaving them in the lurch.
Not like I haven't done it before, though. Usually this is when I give up on rescuing 'em. I have a small stack of unfinished manuscripts with characters that need help. A few of them deserve rescuing, even if it's just to pull them from that story so I can plop 'em in another story and get them into a new impossible situation.
Let us know!
Sorry I missed ya!
He sniffs explosives and trains at Forward Operating Base McHenry, Iraq.
Heh... They're both cool and fairly comical looking. I'm having a hard time taking him seriously in those :~)
Are they to protect his eyes from sun, or splashed chemicals?
Sand, probably. He's in Iraq.
Ah - sand. Makes sense.
Heh...I can see how they could be practical, but they do look funny!
Cool shots...
Those are COOL!
If you need any ideas for getting out of impossibles feel free to ask :-D
I am pretty much clean slate this year. I have a lot of different plot ideas laying around but I am not sure any of them will do. Last year's NANO was the most writing I have ever done on any fiction so I am pretty new to actually working on ideas. I have ideas I developed pretty far but never wrote. Most I don't want to waste on a nano story though :P
I need something I will like I enough to stay the course but not so much I will get caught up tweeking plot or anything like that. *sigh* :P
Maybe I will start hitting the NANO forums for orphan plots.
We could just start posting lists of extremely vague, coupla word plot ideas for others to do something with.
Like...
Dragon DNA
Evil toaster takes on Godzilla
When good zombies go bad
Evil overload deprives the world of caffeine
Teenage mutant ninja turtles
Who the heck thought up that last one, anyway? What substances went into the conception of that idea?
We've been using the late nights for planning the remodel, and before we leave for our vacation in AL, we'll have everything we need to get the work done when we return, so I guess the late nights have been good for something. SirKit finishes painting the front of the house today, then we'll work inside while it's raining over the weekend.
