Mine!
Argh!
You're doing some of these too you know. I've been writing the slightly longer ones first, for grandparents and suchlike.
Furniture should be here in half an hour or so.
And so it begins...
I haven't sent you guys my gift yet...should I wait until your hand heals up? ;-)
"Passle" sounds too sissified for pirates...
Yee'll be walkin' tha' plank fer that one lassie...
Ha, you know that my handwriting is lousy so I don't have to try to make it neat.
China cabinet is coming along nicely. I need to get more laundry started and wash up the little bowls and things we bought in Chinatown to put in the cabinet. I may have to post a picture when we're done with it.
Do yer worst, ye mangy cur...
At least take a shot of it. Mom will be interested in seeing what we put there.
My folks would probably like to see too. I need to figure out what else is going on it, it is looking bare in some spots and quite full in others.
At least I know that there are some homeowners slacker than I am out there.
No glazing = big drafts!! I took off the old glazing from the downstairs windows and replaced it prior to having the house painted last time. Read a really good tip: keep a little pan of solvent handy, and when you finish with the glazing tool, you can use the solvent to smooooth out any goofs or glitches. It works really well.
Also, Walgreens' has disposable gloves on sale this week, 3 boxes of 50 for $10 :-)
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Yarr...
I can still hear you come home even after we raised the gate, it clanks enough :~)
Wondering if you want to go ahead and try the Goodyear shop in Tumwater that we just went to instead of going ALL the way up to Gig Harbor. I think they're OK, they did right by us anyway, I had a good feeling about them after our little job.... And if we don't feel confident they're giving you the real scoop, we can take it to GH for a second opinion.
I can still take you in there Thurs... and then we can just come back home... or you can borrow our Ranger if you want to even go to work. Can you drive a stick?
I just think we ought to try to build a relationship with a shop here - going to GH is a long trip if something's wrong.
I learned to drive on a stick, but it's been years...I'd be a little scared to drive on the interstate in a strange vehicle without knowing what I was doing. But hopefully they'd have time to at least check it over and change oil...if it's not too late to make an appointment for Thursday. I could always bring it back another day for the actual work, provided it's safe to keep driving it.
I'd be willing to give the local shop a shot. Save me a long drive. I'd still like to go up to the beach house at some point, but it looks like this week is going to be rainy anyhow.
Still waiting to hear from bothers about tomorrow...
Well, lets do that then. I'll call in the morning and see if they will have time Thurs. If they end up needing it more than a day, you can use the Ranger if you want... you could drive it around and get comfortable... The interstate's easier than town anyway! A lot less shifting!
I've got some gloves already.
So what's the best way to remove old glazing without breaking the glass? Wait for it to crumble away? That seems to be working okay for me so far. :)
