Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I just spent the last few days writing about space pirates, so I'm in the right mindset.

Though I don't know if space pirates say "Yarrr".

They do if I make 'em, I suppose.

Heh, I brought the rest of the Kenshin manga and polished it off. The main bed spread did great, the other one was not too happy with even their big washer. I'm gonna line-dry it and then see about scrubbing a couple weird spots.

I need to get stamps, I'm starting in on the thank-yous. No phone calls from anyone yet today.

Heh, well, it was an experience all right. I'm just hoping things aren't like that here... there at least seem to be jobs though there's a lot more embedded programming jobs than .NET or Java programming and I really don't want to get pigeonholed as an embedded programmer. I think it'll be easier to work from home and get contracting positions in the future with the higher-level work I want.

Oh, great. That saves me a trip down the street. I need two envelopes too if we do not have some here for the marriage license request.

OK, here's a pirate question for the day, 'cause I can't figure it out.

What's the proper term for a group of pirates? Hoard doesn't work. Gang doesn't work. Crew? Isn't there another word? There should be!

Jen's right. It's a band.

You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. You are definitely quirky and often mistaken for mad but if anyone is truly paying attention they can see there is method to your madness. You try really hard to be bad but in the end you tend to do the right thing.

Course it could be a passle.

*Ponders the name Passle O'Pirate for a Nanowrimo character.*

Heehehehe. Just call me Jen the Thesaurus.

Or Jen the Sore-Handed. I've managed 6 thank you notes so far and at this rate it will take me weeks.
