Two days into the JonBenet Ramsey/John Karr media deluge, a mid-fortyish male in line next to me at a food shop groaned at the day's newspaper headlines. "Now," muttered this stranger--though he wore a baseball cap with bill turned backward, which suggested a few things about him one could know right off--"now we're not going to hear about anything but this damned story for the next six weeks."
I sympathized, forbearing to tell him that it would have plenty of competition, what with the networks set to embark on round-the-clock wallowing in the Katrina anniversary.

I would implore everyone not to judge the Ramsey's too strongly. They were and are both very strong Christians, unfortunately you won't hear anything about that in the media.
oh so Christian never run afoul of the law

Great link.
Thanks for posting it.
While I am aware of the scars, you would not have had to hit a six year old twice with one, and you certainly would not have had to stifle their cries.
Thanks so much!
It was John Ramsey. They reacted by contacting their attorney and then moving the body (in that order).
THEN whose was the DNA, were they having sex parties at their house and one of the guests got wild and killed Jon Benet and the mom decided to cover it up?
No, I'm saying that they hid the body for them to "find" but they didn't. So, John, I am reminded by another FReeper, had to give them some help..........
I also seem to remember this being a big issue when the story first broke.
OH, so the DNA that does not match John Karr and therefore exonerates him does not do the same for Patsy Ramsey, whom it also does not match????
He didn't get his Red Ryder BB gun.............
I think that statement isn't fair to the Boulder PD. They didn't blow this case, the prosecutor did. Alex Hunter buckled under pressure from Boulder's social elete. I believe the Boulder cops got it right.
Lou Smit? He works for John Ramsey. He and Professor Tracey have now accused 3 innocent men of killing JonBenet.
JB ate pineapple 2-5 hours before her death. John and Patsy claim that JB fell asleep on the way home from the Whites. She was carried upstairs and put to bed. A bowl of pineapple was found on the kitchen table....PR and Burkes fingerprints were on the bowl.
I believe it was the father who found and also moved the body.
Actually to me, just speculating, it sounds as if it could have been a friend or relative. I realize they probably exhausted those leads (one would assume), but several things make me think that. 2 forms fatal-type injuries (fracture & garrote), molestation/assault, and a rambling note that at the same time shows familiarity but tries to sound like international intrigue. To me that points to someone (who at least felt) familiar with the family, and who was a pedophile.
I also find Karr's statements interesting, "I was there it was an accident" "I love her". As a pedophile obsessed with the case (I think he fantasized being the killer) his comments provide the sicko point of view.
"Who breaks into a home and THEN sits down to write a two-page kidnap note?" I've seen a theory that suggests an intruder broke into the home while the Rameys were away, which left him/her with plenty of time to write the note and get a lay of the house. There are also stun gun marks, which point to an intruder. It has also been reported that they passed every lie detector test. I have no idea who did this, but I think it is horrible if this couple is innocent and had the insult of being blamed for her death added to the injury of her tragic loss.
It's not as if being a sociopath is like being a crack addict drooling oneself the gutter. It doesn't prevent one from functioning in society Ted Bundy went to Harvard! You need a dictionary.
