Two days into the JonBenet Ramsey/John Karr media deluge, a mid-fortyish male in line next to me at a food shop groaned at the day's newspaper headlines. "Now," muttered this stranger--though he wore a baseball cap with bill turned backward, which suggested a few things about him one could know right off--"now we're not going to hear about anything but this damned story for the next six weeks."
I sympathized, forbearing to tell him that it would have plenty of competition, what with the networks set to embark on round-the-clock wallowing in the Katrina anniversary.

WHY??
But didn't you hear? That Karr guy confessed so mom and dad are exhonerated and you have to apologize for ever suspecting them because Karr must have done it.
Oh, wait...
Who breaks into a home and THEN sits down to write a two-page kidnap note? (the paper and pen were proven to come from inside the house and the handwriting was suspiciously similar to mom's)
Just look at the pics of Jon Benet tarted up like a 20 year old "working girl." Mommy was a hyper-conscientious woman determined to force her into the entertainment business as soon as she could force lipstick onto that little girl. The last thing mommy wanted to do was let her daughter be the little girl she was. My speculation is that, at some point, Jon Benet said "no" and hyper-conscientious mommy went wild, with the rest being history. The combination of the garrote and skull fracture shows somebody with an adult's strength committed the murder. The alleged ransom note had to be written by someone who knew exactly the amount of Mr. Ramsey's annual bonus; who would logically know that other than Patsy?
I should addd what you've just written to my answer. Thanks for the extra facts.
Burke...........
Another MSM lie that you take as truth.
The ransom note mentioned $118,000.
That was NOT the amount of John's bonus.
I don't care what she's talking about. Anything by Dorothy Rabinowitz is worth the time...
He was 9 at the time.
Not very likely he killed his sister.
Of all the articles I've seen posted here and elsewhere, I've not seen a single one that contests the $118,000 figure. Do you have a link to one that does? If so, please post it.
Off the subject but WTF is this supposed to mean?
My theory is that Burke killed his sister, either accidentally or on purpose in a jealous rage. The Ramseys, in order to not lose their son, and now last child, to a lifetime of institutionalization, concocted the stupid ransome note and kidnapping story. That would explain their strange behavior on that day. It mirrored my own families' behavior whenever my brother would get in trouble with the law, even as young as six years old.............
The Ramseys said that when they were on the Larry King Show.
And the Boulder police have not disputed that.
The amount of Johns' bonus was close to that but it was not the amount mentioned in the ransom note.
Or a tendency toward being aerodynamic.. or something.
Dorothy Rabinowitz is the best reporter in America.
Dozens of people have been freed from wrongful convictions due to her reporting.
Okay, that's a little off-topic, but it's worth saying.
Have we any evidence that Burke has turned into a sociopath?
No. He's a kid in college now.
Yep. She is one of the best.
