Thanks for posting the update. At the end of the video report, it mentions that there was a witness to the arrest who said the guy was very calm and described himself as a terrorist.
The police, of course, have announced that this has no connection to terrorism. Just go ahead and ignore what the perp said; if he's a Muslim and mentions the T-word, he must be protected at all costs.

What the media our government refuses to understand is that the Jihad requires/inspires individuals to participate...he doesn't have to be a member of a group to be a terrorist.
You can access the video clip at ktvu.com, where the reporter says that an unnamed witness said that Popal referred to himself as a terrorist. OTOH, the same clip has an interview with the guy who dragged one of the victims to safety as Popal came back at him -- the guy looks and sounds 100% as Arab as Popal.
