So let's see if the story is up-to-date...

I don't know 100%, but it seems like this hysterectomy may be the result of some kind of damage to the uterus.

But, perhaps somebody more knowledgeable could provide possible causes for hysterectomy following uterine bleeding (hemorrhage?)

Well, she could have had an ovarian cyst that caused bleeding, so they removed the cyst along with the uterus..just a guess.

Not necessarily. Sometimes the D&C (not to be confused with the DNC) is used to try to prevent a hysterectomy.

I'm trying a new attitude with this lady. I've got to. I've condemned her enough times. I am hoping she recovers fully and completely. Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY, 100% disagree with her. BUT, I will not stoop to the DU levels of wishing her pain and suffering. I have read some DU posts about the missing Fox journalist Centanni and they are sickening! They are gloating at DU! An AMERICAN is kidnapped and they are gloating, saying he is 'sh*t', deserved to be kidnapped cause he works for Fox and all kinds of atrocious and outrageous things.

I don't want to be like the posters on DU. Hopefully, I can maintain this because, as a redhead, my temper usually has a way of showing up unannounced.

Wine anyone?

Who's paying for this? It's not like this woman has a job.

Maybe she can get her pal Hugo Chavez to pay for it.

It's called hysteria because the ancients believed that the womb would break free and float upward, driving women mad.

Sheehan, of Berkeley, is expected to be hospitalized several days and then rejoin the peace vigil.

If she really had a hysterectomy .. there is no way in hell she'll be rejoining the "peace vigil"

It takes at least 5-8 weeks for recovery

Maybe my eyes are tired . . .

A hysterical ectomy?

I'm concerned if they really try and take the hysterical out of Windy Sheeham.

Her whole body frame and connecting tissue would collapse--as would her reason for existing--her whole way of being in the world.

But if it's just her uterus . . . well . . . let bygones be bygone. She had no use for that anyway. I mean . . . what male in his right mind . . . ahh welll . . .

Guess we may as well let the windbag recover. Personally, she can have a very, very, very long recovery. Preferably say in some Siberian cottage somewhere that she'd need to stay out of the cold in. Very shut up.

She can be hysterical to the polar bears if she wants. I don't think they'd be impressed.

Actually, women having heavy bleeding at Menopause is common.
Usually I treat it with hormones, but once or twice a year they need a hysterectomy because they have fibroids or other (usually benign) conditions of the uterus.

One note: When I was having problems, my hormones went crazy. And many of my menopausal women had similar crazyness. So if her docs are good, they'll put her on Estrogen and Prozac, and maybe get rid of her paranoia and rage.

Husbands, you know what I mean about this.

Yes. Cindy is peri-menopausal. Some women go through excessive bleeding during this time. They can take drugs to minimize or stop the "flow". It's possible she took these but these are not working. A hysterectomy takes care of this.

Sheehan is back in Waco hospital

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

From staff reports

War protester and new Crawford resident Cindy Sheehan was back in the hospital Tuesday, recovering from a hysterectomy, her spokesman said.

Sheehan, 49, whose peace vigil in the Crawford area this summer has been marked by exhaustion, health problems and hospital stays, was expected to leave Providence Health Center as early as Thursday, protest official Tiffany Burns told the Tribune-Herald.

Burns said Sheehan was in stable condition Tuesday evening after entering the hospital earlier in the day to undergo a hysterectomy.

“She’s in really good spirits,” Burns said, adding that Sheehan was looking forward to returning to the peace vigil she first led near President Bush’s Crawford- area ranch in August 2005. However, she likely will focus mostly on recuperation the next several days with only brief appearances at the protest camp site in Crawford.

Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, recently purchased five acres of prairie land just north of Crawford — and several miles east of the Bush ranch — to hold anti-war activities, especially when Bush is vacationing nearby.

Aside from Sheehan’s health problems and absences, protesters have had to shift schedules frequently as President Bush has altered his. The vacation that the president spent at his ranch earlier this month was only 10 days — the shortest summer vacation of his presidency — and confounded protesters who expected him to be there all month.

Bush, who usually spends most of August at his ranch, is expected to return to his Prairie Chapel Ranch next week for an extended Labor Day weekend.

Burns said protesters have felt anxiety about their ailing leader but weren’t letting the peace movement wilt because of Sheehan’s health woes.

Hysterectomy?

More likely an addadiktome.
