WACO, Tx War protester Cindy Sheehan is recovering in a Texas hospital after having a hysterectomy Tuesday.
Sheehan had surgery at Providence Health Center in Waco, about 20 miles from land she recently bought in President Bush's adopted hometown of Crawford.
Sheehan, of Berkeley, is expected to be hospitalized several days and then rejoin the peace vigil.
Sheehan's son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004. She first arrived in Crawford a year ago, demanding to meet with Bush during his month-long vacation.
Her 26-day vigil last summer in ditches off the road leading to his ranch drew more than 10,000 fellow anti-war demonstrators, but also spurred counter protests of Bush supporters who said she was hurting troop morale. |
I don't know 100%, but it seems like this hysterectomy may be the result of some kind of damage to the uterus.
But, perhaps somebody more knowledgeable could provide possible causes for hysterectomy following uterine bleeding (hemorrhage?)

Not necessarily. Sometimes the D&C (not to be confused with the DNC) is used to try to prevent a hysterectomy.
I'm trying a new attitude with this lady. I've got to. I've condemned her enough times. I am hoping she recovers fully and completely. Don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY, 100% disagree with her. BUT, I will not stoop to the DU levels of wishing her pain and suffering. I have read some DU posts about the missing Fox journalist Centanni and they are sickening! They are gloating at DU! An AMERICAN is kidnapped and they are gloating, saying he is 'sh*t', deserved to be kidnapped cause he works for Fox and all kinds of atrocious and outrageous things.
I don't want to be like the posters on DU. Hopefully, I can maintain this because, as a redhead, my temper usually has a way of showing up unannounced.

Dysfunctional bleeding is a common reason for hysterectomy not that it is anyone's business on this thread which is so repulsive to me.
Have all of you smart asses forgotten that her son died for this country. She has been a total anti american jerk, but her son gave his life for us.
And we owe him something and that is not to be crude, disgusting about her.
We may dislike her, disagree with her and think she does her son no honor.
But I shudder to think of how he would feel today if he saw this thread. It makes me see red and makes me disgusted with every last one of you.

Thanks a lot, that's kind of you to say so. I'm no saint, by a long shot, but, well, I don't like hanging on to anger. I want to protect our troops like anyone here. I totally disagree with her antics. However, geez, she is an American, right or wrong. I'm white-knuckling it now. It's really a new approach for me. Lord, give me strength!
