I honestly think that either he did it, or knows who did.
That's a possiblity...especially with the company he keeps...
One thing we can all agree on is that he wants to be the one who murdered JBR.
He may not actually know the person. (I don't really know you all) but he has had some contact with them. It would be impossible for me to find out who you were, but he would know that the authorities could/would do just that.
IOW he may be the key to solving the problem and that's why the DA is bringing him in, to help them unlock the door.
BTW I think the Ramsey's left their door unlocked or someone put a piece of tape on in to keep it from locking when they left. The perp came in the front door. JMO
I've always thought that they left a door unlocked in their hurry to go to the party.
Post Script.....Last chapter of his book....He's a big hero /sarc for helping the authorities solve the case....He "loved her".

That is interesting, so he had some interest at some point to teach in Colorado and inquired about it. I wonder what the date was that the file was opened? Was it before JonBenet's death? (Colorado DA knows for sure)
Who's not to say that he was considering working in Boulder, he may have been living in his car or staying with a Colorado pedophile friend of his (this pedophile buddy of his would never come forth to verify that Karr was in Colorado) before JonBenet's death.
Sandrock claims that Karr has ID unusual things about Boulder landmarks in his emails to help possible prove to Sandrock that he had been in Boulder at some point, including what type of brick was used to on the building that Sandrock worked in. (I don't have a link to this info but during a interview Sandrock did for MSNBC he spoke about it)
My understanding it is fairly easy if your server is in the US. Karr at one point was using a Canadian server. WHich made it more difficult.
One of the teachers in our school system had an "ad" placed on a server in Thailand....possible by a former student. He was unable to get rid of it and immediately notified the authorities who were only able to trace it to a Thailand server. It remains today.

The article is very vague, and I would like to know when, too. But that was the first indication I found (others are now saying they have reason to believe he was in Boulder, but then, that was the first I found).
I was fingerprinted at the time of the exam for my license which was three days long. We were fingerprinted every time we were given a part of the test.
As to your question, I think you have to have behaved inappropriately with an actual child to be labeled a pedophile according to law.
I could be wrong though...maybe I'm thinking about being labeled a molestor rather than a pedophile.
That said, child porn would put one high on the suspicion list of tendency toward pedophilia AND molestation. Suppose some child is molested but they don't know the perp. The cops would take a look both at known molestors and at child porn involvement when looking for a break in such a case.

However, you're right. With a bit of tech/web savvy it is fairly easy to use multiple off-shore proxies, which make it extremely difficult to trace someone on the net.

good move than! butter this guy up, get him drunk, and get him talking. The flight is long and as long as the alcohol keeps coming and karr feels like he is being treated like royalty the more he is going to talk his butt off. People who feel comfortable do.
