BANGKOK, Thailand - The American suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey told investigators that he drugged and had sex with the 6-year-old beauty queen before accidentally killing her, a senior Thai police officer said Thursday.
An autopsy on Ramsey said a blood screening showed no drugs or alcohol in her body but said she had vaginal abrasions.
Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand's immigration police, said by telephone that he was not present for the questioning, which was conducted by U.S. law enforcement officials.
But, according to what the general said he was told of the questioning, the suspect, John Mark Karr, "said he drugged the child." Suwat did not say who briefed him on the questioning.
Karr claimed he had sex with Ramsey, who was still alive, Suwat said. Karr said he then realized he had "accidentally" killed her, according to the general.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy said it had no information about Karr's alleged actions or what he said to questioners. U.S. and Colorado law enforcement officials were unavailable for comment.
"Willfully using false information to make it look like he's just a kook instead of the actual killer?"

Whew! That was a close one for those kids! They either had a pervert or a nutjob (or both) for a teacher.
This story stinks all over the place.
Right from the start the story made no sense at all. There was no way he could have written the ransom note because it contained too much personal information, he also said he kidnapped her but there is no evidence of her being removed from the home. Also the inside information he provided could have been very general in nature and be guessed by anyone with knowledge of crime scenes.
You probably did, but was it true?
I'm still concerned that he might be giving a false confession.
Guilty or not, he was obsessed with this case, and made it his mission to focus on it.. There are thousands of articles and details available on the internet. Details WE haven't bothered to read that he might know..
One particular blog I happened upon had details and theories I haven't heard reported before, and I'd hesitate to repeat them, because they are so outrageous.

Could it be possible this guy is escaping the prison of Thialand? He looks like he is a good AIDS candidate and might need medical treatment. Our prisons are sooooo good and free medical care.
Sort of a generic skinny white guy in his 30s or so with no facial hair, which is probably the profile that the FBI comes up with every time in a case like this.

Yeah, I know. I confess I've sometimes watched it when there's some big breaking tabloidy story (though only on the weekends, since I don't have or want a TV in my weekday residence). Greta gives me the creeps though -- I can almost believe she's got invisible thetans stuck all over her :-)
The actual autopsy report posted on smoking gun says exactly the oppossite.
Basically your saying "We all look alike". The sketch was dead on.
If I recall there was evidence of previous sexual abuse. Or at least medical findings which might have indicated previous sexual abuse. Also how did this guy know about the wine cellar? Why would he risk assaulting Jonbenet in her own home? How did he know enough details about John Ramsey's business to compose the ransom note? How did he know enough about the lay of house to sneak into Jonbenet's room?
I'm not buying it. I think the guy may know the killer. Especially if Karr has been involved in child porn. And I think the killer is someone the Ramsey's knew. Even if only slightly. The kiddy pageant world must draw pedophiles by the s load.
I think he has a physical illness. A very serious one.

Which makes Karr's story all the more implausible. How did he "love" this little girl when she was still in diapers? Did he work in a day care? Was he a member of the same church? How did he know who this girl was before she started on the pagaent tour? I think he's lying.
That's another question I'm asking myself. Where did he get the money to be such a world traveler? His employment history doesn't suggest he was making much money and I doubt he was sending anything in child support. Who was footing the bill for visits to Europe and the Far East?
There is considerable debate from forensic pathologists as to which trauma occurred first, the strangulation or the BFT. To me at least the evidence seems to point to the strangulation first and BFT second since there was not a lot of subdural bleeding from a rather extensive (7-8") lateral crack in her skull with a small displaced fragment. In the big scheme of things, however, dead is still dead and murder is still murder.
