Yeah, just heard his ex says he was with her in Alabama and he has done a lot of research on the case. Sounds like he is a fruitcake and not a killer.

Not exactly a backtrack. They had to arrest him, but it looks like there's no evidence here.

My thoughts:

The guy got busted in Thailand on some sex crime. He did not want to spend the rest of his life in some Thai prison so he copped to this. I'm not saying he didn't do it but I think he chose prison in the U.S. over prison in Thailand.

Definite backtrack. Sounds like someone who has mental problems and is looking for his 15 minutes of fame to me.

If they don't link the DNA to him, the DA is going to have a hard time convicting him.

I am listening to the press conference right now.

The DA said that the man has the presumption of innocence and that she cannot discuss anything details in the case as per law.

The guy is fruitcake for sure. To think he has had access to children is sick. But is he the murderer of Jonbonet? I like the way the DA was talking......she needs him back here to eliminate him or to convict him. Good luck to her, we all want the murderer brought to justice. She does not have an easy job. I say we give her the time to develop the case. He may just be guilty of harassing the Ramsey family and not murdering her, who knows.

I don't know if it was a "backtrack" but the "exigent circumstances" remark certainly does seem like a potential out for law enforcement if the case falls apart.

How is the horse doing?

Where is OJ?

Can we combine all of this uninteresting crap into one thread that will die?

Or perhaps we should talk about illegal immigration?

I sat around waiting for the press conference.
After the DA finished telling the press corp what she couldn't discuss I concluded that the conference was held simply for 'face' time.

A waste of time.
