BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The district attorney in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying says there is "much more work" to be done in the case against the suspect and she is warning the public not to "jump to conclusions."

I have already addressed this. They needed to give kudos to those who assisted them. (The Thailand police, the Georgia police, etc.) That is NOT, NOT, NOT patting each other on the back, but giving credit to where it is due.

Please read other responses to this thread. He wasn't sitting in a Thailand jail. He was caught because we were looking for him. The initial accounts of this were inaccurate. The DA made that very clear today.

I asked a question. Sitting here at my desk, I don't have the slightest idea where I spent Christmas 1996. I am sure it was in one of two places, but I'd have to do a little research (pictures, etc.) to tell you which. Someone said my brother was in Colorado then, I'd say "no he wasn't, he was with me." If I added the place to that sentence without doing research, there is a 50% chance I'd be wrong.

The fact that people are wrong - and either the brother or the wife is wrong - doesn't mean they are lying.

Mr. Karr's claim that JonBenet committed suicide is supported by a letter written by JonBenet's mother, Patsy, shortly before she died of ovarian cancer on June 24 this year. As reported exclusively on this website, Mrs. Ramsey had mailed the letter to her attorney with instructions that it not be opened until after her death.


"As long as I was alive, I was determined to protect my daughter's name," wrote Mrs. Ramsey, "even if that meant being a suspect in her 'murder.' I always knew, however, that JonBenet would not have wanted the fear of being 'murdered' to prevent other little girls from entering beauty pageants. That is why I have decided to reveal the true cause of her death at this time. Besides, if I had come forward with the details of her suicide earlier, I might have had to return the trophies she had won, and that would have broken my heart."

According to Mrs. Ramsey, her daughter was distraught about gaining five pounds during the Thanksgiving-
Christmas holidays, and she feared she would not be able to wear her Sally Starr costume in an upcoming pageant.

Despite the mantra on this thread that the brother and ex-wife have their dates/places wrong about spending Christmas in a certain place in 1996, this is what the brother told Greta last night on FNC:

They would come to our house in Atlanta for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And that's one of the points of contention maybe we talk about — and maybe we talk to you tomorrow night — is there's a possibility that we believe he could have been even here in Atlanta with us when this horrible tragedy occurred to little JonBenet Ramsey. And we don't know that for sure. We have to check our photo album and get the dates right.

Also, Karr said he crawled into a broken basement window. But on Court TV, reporters said the police had pictures of the window and investigated whether anyone crawled into the house that way and it would have been pretty much impossible because the window was covered with cobwebs.

Here it goes again. He was busted and in prison in Thailand because of a CALIFORNIA crime and at the request of US authorities. He is not charged with a crime in Thailand. Jeeez...

People hear what they want to hear and disregard those things which do not fit with the preconception. This info has been posted a zillion times, but its inconvenient to absorb it.
