Yeah. He's kind of scattered. I don't think he ever paid a lot of attention to what John did, especially if it's true there had been other sex crimes "throughout the South." He may have known about them or may not have.
They're obviously not close, though, because there's 7 years age difference and John went to live in AL with their grandparents when he was 12 (Nate would've been 5). I just don't think they interact a whole lot. Now or previously.
Whichever place they spent their Christmas holidays, it was a family gathering, either at the grandparents' in Hamilton, AL, where Lara and John lived at the time, or in Atlanta, with the father, Wexford, and Nathaniel and whatever family he might have.
I think there are other siblings, from what I've seen in my research, but will wait until someone brings them up. To my mind, it's six of one, half a dozen of the other - they're both remembering a family holiday in '96. I saw another later brief clip from Lara saying it could've been either, AL or ATL.
It is totally unbelieveable and I would still like to know why he went to live with the grandparents when he was younger.
This whole deal is creepy. I read full account on AOL when I logged on this morning. The 'nice guy' theme of the interview with the brother didn't play well with me last night.
Could he have been the college student in Boulder?
May have figured out the amount of ranson requested when I looked at my own desk this morning. Anyone coming into my home could tell a lot about financial dealings by looking at my desk which is now nice and clean since I filed the paperwork this morning before logging on. If the perp got the paper from the desk of John Ramsey, the amount of bonus could have been lying right there on top of paperwork. Thought entered my mind when I saw the top part of a check for a refund from the escrow account lying right on top of everything with the amount as clear as could be.

But there's just something weird about the way he is appearing on the videos. No emotion.
Course, BTK killer was cool, calm and collected as well.
Boulder Police Dept. had BETTER have concrete evidence and tell the public just that TODAY, before we all talk ourselves out of his guilt..

He disappeared after being charged with possession of child pornography. I believe he was convicted in abstentia, not sure though.
That means 11 CST! I am more than ready to hear the details although if true the article on AOL this morning had a lot of them.
No kidding! I watched the Nancy Grace show without her last night after logging off. If I had known years ago that the FBI profiler was convinced that it wasn't the Ramsey's, I would have been even more livid at the Boulder cops. When I heard him last night describe in detail how he first came out to the case prepared to break the case with a confession from the Ramsey's and within five days became convinced they couldn't have done the crime, I knew the cops had blown the case years ago. The new DA had him come back and present everything to her and that is when this case seem to come back to life.
The "sleeze" took the case ONLY because it was a "double murder" and would become a precedence. That's bigtime ego for attorneys.
Holy cow. I thought the same thing. I guess that dates me.

I listened to the brother's interview on Greta's show. The guy makes a poor witness for his brother. He wasn't sure of anything and Greta seemed to surprise him with some of the info she had. It sounded like a family who had "lost touch".
I agree with your take -- couldn't believe it when he said that he didn't know if his brother was married or not.
That was the article I saw on AOL this morning. Why did the father think his son was dead would be a question I would like to ask.
Really, I thought he looks like the love child of David Byrne (lead singer of Talking Heads) and Lee Harvey Oswald. Throw in a little looks of Peter Weller while you are at it.
The entire family comes across as dysfunctional..and I'm not sure that John Karr isn't delusional.

Something smells here. I don't think this guy had anything to do with this murder.
He would be the first criminal who used a relative's names as an alias.
