PETALUMA (KRON) -- It now appears the only person ever arrested in connection with the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey once taught in Petaluma schools.
The Sonoma County district attorney's office is now confirming 42-year old John Mark Karr was charged with possession of child pornography in April, 2001. Other reports indicate Karr served as a substitute teacher in the Petaluma elementary school system.
Prosecutors say Karr failed to show in court in December, 2001. He's been a fugitive ever since.
Thai police arrested Karr Wednesday in connection with the Jon Benet Ramsey case. The little girl was found dead in her Boulder, Colorado home the day after Christmas, 1996.
On the myspace profile page NinoFan found, it has it listed as his URL. I don't know if that is a book mark of a link to his other profile.
Kevin Karr says cousin John inspired him to plan...guitar.
Not sure if they are related though...

It's also the time "John Karr" in the resume left the United States.
They probably have DNA from the case in Petaluma and maybe that is what they used.

His brother said he never lived in Colorado and was probably with him in Georgia that year for Christmas. Very strange.

Nah, I think that one is just a friend of his. but good eye. As for the link I posted, it's certainly possible that Myspace pulled it, it's also quite possible that the son himself removed his myspace page once he got word that his dad had been arrested for murdering a child. School is going to be hell for him tomorrow.
IMO the kidnappers are ruthless pros. No jihadi bombast from them. Strictly a financial matter.

The Boulder police gave the Ramsey's attorneys all the info they had and who knows who they gave it to.
I haven't seen it in print, but on the Fox's breaking news report this afternoon the reporter stated that it appears he did reside in Colorado in 1996.
I haven't heard that since that report tho so they might have rescinded that statement.
