This John Karr?

Nah...I doubt it. But he is savvy about digital images, and he does hang out in Asia.

However, there seem to be many John Karrs in the world.

What a load of hogwash. A repent would be in order.

It's a documented fact that the Ramseys did everything they could think of to avoid being questioned by the Boulder cops. Normal folks are eager to help the cops investigate such a case in any way they can, don't evade and avoid the cops, and don't jump in their private planes and blow the scene at the first opportunity. Read the book.

Don't know. Just know that there is a John Karr in Aurora at one time, and their is a John Karr with an organization in Thailand.

At the time they didn't have a suspect so it could have been a "sneeze" that was unrelated to the crime.

DNA usually does reflect the race of the person but it is not be "Politically Correct".

Not all that far, Aurora is a suburb of Denver, and Boulder is maybe 30 miles (I could be off a little, it's been 30 years since I lived there).

Sounds like it would be not just a handy cover, but a means to get what he wanted as well. That is, if this is the same John Karr. I ran a search on the Asia Foundation site, and did not find the name, though. What search result pointed you there?

The same kind of charges are being made by the press in the Duke case. I'll wait for the next book.

It sure would be a perfect cover, Fox-in-the-Henhouse sort of job for a pedophile.

His Web site says that a statement from him about recent events will be forthcoming.

Wow! Thanks for that link. I had no idea there was a website about him and his book. Like I said earlier, his story of the investigation was the most infuriating thing I've ever read.

>>The frustration made Thomas give up police work after beating his head against the wall for almost two years.<<

Perhaps one of the reasons why the crime investigation was so bad was that this idiot was leading it. This guy has been steadfast that her mother did this, even after the evidence clearly excluded her or anyone else in the family.

While it would be (almost) equally wrong to brand this guy in Thailand the murderer without a full and fair inquiry (though, its pretty coincidental that a DNA match could be found matched up with a pedophile instead of, say, you or me), I think we can label Steve Thomas disgraced -- at the very least.

He needs to crawl in a hole somewhere and not come out.

"Could you explain the joke please?"

The very first thread posted with the news had an incredible number of one-word replies. "Thailand?" "Thailand!?!" "THAILAND?"

After about fifty or so, it started being funny. There are probably people over there, posting "Thailand?" still.

No. She was cleared several years ago, but the media wasn't as interested in reporting that as they were in reporting she might have been involved.

There was DNA found on her body that was unidentified. Look up the case on google.

According to the reports I've read ... there was no sexual DNA on the body, whatsoever. If there were particles of DNA on her clothing ... they could have originated from any number of sources. Bottom line, if the alleged killer has an alibi, as in his family testifying he was home for Xmas that year ... and there's no specific DNA evidence tying him to the crime ... he walks. DNA will be everything in this case ...

No one said it was sexual DNA and exactly what do you think the odds that this man's dna was found on her underwear if he was not there??
