[Why did I just know for sure that this thread would go over 100 replies?]

It hasn't yet. Oh wait... Now it did.

Remind me to ask you about doing lagers at home.

And just for the record IMO a well hopped IPA is good any season.

Every beer has it's place, but my favorite beer is any beer that didn't come out of a 12 oz can. (Those big Foster's oil-cans are my only exception to the can rule, thus the 12 oz size limitation.)

Hmmm...that's tough.

In the morning I like a good, fruity hefeweizen or a Belgian golden ale.

Afternoon's I like an overhopped IPA if I'm having spicy food or maybe a traditional english bitter.

Dinner I like any Belgian again, from abbey's to alts. Any golden ales, bitters, ESB's.

Late night a nice dry stout or maybe a milk stout like Mackesons XXX.

I like Ales. Not a big fan of Pilsners and/or lagers.

I know it's not beer, but Anchor Brewing's Old Potrero 18th Century Rye Whiskey is awesome.

As for my favorite beer, there can be only one.

Schmidt's went under, so no more Pig's Eye. But I think Schell's owns the recipe?

what i can recall being great recently

3 floyds - dreadnaught, black sun stout have never had dark lord
Great divide oak aged yeti
fantome - 90% of what i have had, though he changes recipes constantly
abbaye de rocs - tripel imperiale, montagnarde, their grand cru's (2)
de dolle brouwers - most of their beers are top notch
chouffe - houblon doubel is great, their N'ice chouffe is too
rochefort 6/8/10 - i like these better with at least a couple of years of age on them, ditto westvleteren 8/12 ( i dont like westvleteren blond)

for bottle-conditioned bitters, hopback summer lightning is very tasty though there is a bad batch running around (2 bottles from diff states recently).

dogfish head makes both some excellent and some mediocre beers

lambics, pretty much anything from 3 fonteinen or cantillon

this is a top of the head list, and ignores cask/real ale.

Hands down.
Steinlager also makes a very, very nice lite lager.

If I can find it, and I'm in the mood...
