UNITED NATIONS - Jay-Z boycotted premium champagne Cristal at his clubs after the brand's owner made some remarks he didn't like. Now the rap superstar has a new favorite drink: water.

"I figure that once I stumbled upon that, if the information was out and young people knew that these problems exist while we're having Poland Springs at Cipriani and things like that, that we'll get involved," said the 36-year-old rapper, referring to the high-class restaurant chain.

Coming from someone whose last name is Brat.

I have similar rules for those with numeric last names. ;)

Is this new do to man

The water crisis is one of those that comes and goes. Back in the late seventies the great water shortage caused restaurants across the country to stop serving water with meals.

In the nineties it was treated tap water that popularized the bottled water so many use today...which is filled from the same tap that gave rise to the bottle.

You can blame Johnny Carson and his toilet paper shortage for the crisis mentality of today. Before then the doom and gloomers didn't realize they could use TV to work up a good scare.

I think people just enjoy a crisis.

"bounce wit me, wit me, wit me....."

I admit to a fascination with rap music. It is vulgar, gross, sexist, violent, raw, and dirty.

But then, so am I.

that's cool but it's the "Oil for Water" that is underway and the unsupervised kids that listen to this rap stuff.

Just ask Bill OReilly... ; )

Someone should tell Jay-Z about the Ryan's Well Foundation. They've been working on this problem for a few years already.
