No. They dug down quite a bit, apparently to get rid of bad dirt. Now they are bringing in about 100 truckloads of good dirt to the final basement level. About 10 to 15 feet downhill, and 1.5 feet at the edge by my house. That will leave the basement floor about 8 feet below ground level.
So between the dump trucks, and the compacting truck, this house is a-rockin! Too bad it's not something else. :(

They said they will be pouring the foundation next week. I'll just be happy when the basement is done and the hole is filled in. A hole that big that close makes me nervous, even though everyone says there isnt anything to be worried about.
