Most folks probably have FF set to auto-upgrade and should get notice of this new update soon.

Actually got my notice late last evening.

Noscript rocks. You don't realize how much javascript is out there until you have this extension.

 Other useful extensions:

Flashblock and Xinha Here! are the most useful on a day to day basis.

The Danica Patrick video (via Yahoo) is running just fine here.

It ran on 1.5.0.5 and earlier versions, but not on the new release. I am going to roll back to a previous version.

Xinha is great for editing long, detailed responses. For my day to day use and just short replies, I've installed BBCode and BBCodeXtra.

You'd think so with all the features they stole for IE7

Are you running windows? Make sure there isn't another copy of it hanging out. Close firefox and check the task manager and see if it still shows up.

Also, though it shouldn't need it, it never hurts to reboot windows and see if it still fails.

I just uninstalled it, then reinstalled. It seems to be working better now.

Thx for your help. I checked and there isn't another firefox running and I just rebooted.

I think my security program (Kaspersky) is preventing Firefox from connecting but I can't locate the setting so that I can change the command.

IT'S ALIVE!

I just figured it out. My anti-hacker software was blocking it!

But with 15% market share and growing such issues will hopefully become a thing of the past

Or at least start coding to W3C standard instead of to IE.

I was shopping at Sears online yesterday and found the section where I wanted my item only worked in IE. Now I do have the IE Tab extension so I could get in and look at it (exercise equipment ain't cheap!). But I didn't buy, I just used "Contact Us" to say that since their site is IE only, and I use Firefox, that I won't be buying from there.

One new thing is that text has to be changed every time I click on.

Another I just don't like the format as well. Minor items.

Which anti-hacker software was that--because I can't get any of those videos to run.

If you are running the Adblock extension, try disabling it.

Sometimes Adblock will block content that you actually want. This happens because Adblock uses filters to match content that looks like it might be an ad. Sometimes it will mistake good content for bad.
