Look at his hairline.. I'm bald and I shave my head (sides and back mostly). You can see his hairline and the empty part on top.

Maggief: .. . . Okay, why isn't Griffin Charged then?

If he has a Nissan and was driving he should be charged, yes. Who was with him?

We need more ID's on the six cops involved. Don't hold your breath for the MSM.

Perhaps some blogs and emails may be in order.

I will also agree with you that the cops charged are covering for Gottlieb and Hinman, in my opinion.

Those here that have read the transcript of the Photo Lineup - that know that offical affadavits were signed saying the woman had anal injuries - that are aware that Linwood Wilson and the HEAD of Police (City MGR) Patrick Baker have both said they've seen all the evidence and the woman didn't change her story -

With this in mind, is it surprising that someone described as the Initial Perpetrator - hasn't been charged?

And two other men are charged - two expendable men.

TommyD and MaggieF -

Is it just a coincidence that in 6 cops - only Gottlieb's picture was printed in about 4 different papers reporting on the incident?

Did the MSM media know Crystal's Criminal record for weeks before they printed it - YES. I know that for a fact.

I think the Media that had interview the Cook and Manager thought Gottlieb was the instigator.

My 2 cents

I tend to agree with you. I guess we just differ on the bald heads. LOL!

I don't disagree with you.

Question is, how do we get the ID's of the other cops, and the ID's of who drove the truck, who was shirtless, etc.? We can't draw a logical conclusion on what we have.

I'm not up to date (sorry). Other than the two charged - are the others back to work in Durham?

I know Gottlieb and Clayton are back to work - Nifong was pushing that I'm sure before his News Conference. But, are there guys out there still on Special duty status that have NOT been charged? Or is that unknown?

thanks

Gottlieb and Clayton, along with Investigator James A. Griffin Jr., returned to regular duty status Thursday.

Okay. Thanks

Now Griffin is 29 - kind of young to be Bald.

Either Clayton or Griffin is black - and he was NOT aggressive - he was apologetic according to reports.

Gottlieb 43, Richard Clayton 35, and Griffin 29.

I'm thinking Clayton is white, only because I would think any black investigator on the Duke LAX case would be sitting on Nifong's lap in court.

So IF (I say IF) Richard Clayton is white - then Griffin is black and, by the process of elimination, Gottlieb is the BALD GUY that instigated and, it can be interpreted, ordered the attack.

Nifong has a VICTORY press conference tomorrow. I want to assure you that if I thought for one second that one of my investigators was involved in that type of crime, I'd be the first to call for his prosecution, blah, blah, blah.

Easley appointed him and will probably feel the need to reappoint him so he doesn't look like he made a mistake the first time around.

No way the governor reappoints him if the people vote him out of office in favor of a guy who announces he will not take the job. The people will have spoken and say NO Nifong then. No governor is going against that.

** *** ** ** ** ** ** GOTTLIEB GOT HIMSELF A LAWYER !!!! ****** He has RETAINED a Lawyer!

Something is up! The two guys that retained Lawyers - one is charged and one is BALD!

Okay, well at least Mike Nifong agrees with me:

"One would wonder why one needs an attorney if one was not charged and had not done anything wrong."
Mike Nifong, 2006
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2390981

Excerpt from the Herald Sun:
"All of the officers have the right to a lawyer's help, and two, GOTTLIEB and Lee, have RETAINED the Durham firm of Clayton Myrick McClanahan & Coulter to represent them as the internal investigation and criminal case unfold.

A lawyer there, Allen Mason, confirmed Thursday that senior partner Jerry Clayton had spoken to GOTTLIEB and that another of his colleagues, former Assistant District Attorney Freda Black, had spoken to Lee."

Sounds like he got himself a high priced lawyer. I doubt that the services of Jerry Clayton of Clayton, Myrick, McClanahan, & Coulter come cheap.

Allen Mason and Jerry Clayton are senior partners at the firm where Freda Black was hired after Nifong fired her. They were vocal supporters of her during the primary campaign.

I hope Gottlieb's choosing them might mean that his Duke case report was not kind to Nifong.

And how bout that Nifong quote?

"One would wonder why one needs an attorney if one was not charged and had not done anything wrong."
Mike Nifong, March 2006

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2390981

According to Nifong himself, something is smelly in Durham.

I happen to believe that it was no coincidence that Gottlieb was the only member of the DPD whose picture was published along with the accusations - by multple papers.

And Law schools will use Nifong as an example for many years as to why you should refrain from making too many public statements.

Well, lookie here, from the Herald Sun article:

"Thomas (the Cook) was surprised Thursday to hear that the charges involved the officers they did. "Lee and Tanner? Huh. OK. Check that again and call me back," he said before cutting off a brief interview. "I don't think you have the right guys.""

The victim HIMSELF says I don't think you have the right guys!

Damn.

Where there's smoke there's fire and, in Durham, where there's no smoke - you'll find damn good exhaust system designed to disguise fire!

They are in full cover up mode. Even a legally blind observer like Melanie should be able to see that!

WTH??

"We're not Duke lacrosse lawyers," Mason said alluding to the year's most highly publicized Durham Police Department case, one that Gottlieb and Richard Clayton, who's no relation to lawyer Jerry Clayton, have both worked on. "We don't practice that way. We don't comment about pending cases, we don't do interviews, we don't make statements."
