DURHAM, N.C. -- Officials say they are investigating an alleged assault involving Durham police officers outside a Raleigh bar.

I'd think they could be easily confused. However, one guy may have been driving someone's else vehicle due to excessive intoxication or whatever.
When I was younger, I always ended up driving my friends Camaro away from the club at the end of the night.
Or it could be registered in wife's name, who knows?
I don't know if Toyota and Nissan are confused.
Your post 1402 lists a Nissan, I believe.
I've seen pictures of Gottlieb and Himan multiple times on Local TV since March. One, particularly, was when Finnerty and Seligmann were indicted - they were on camera carrying boxes or files. I got the impression they both were trying to get their 15 minutes and wanted to be SEEN.
I don't remember Gottlieb being Heavy or Fat. IIRC, he was
stout - beefy (not in that way, either). I don't recall him being fat and usually these guys have conditioning tests they have to pass every year or two - correct?
If anyone remembers better - please advise
I guess the cook was only 89% with the attacker being bald........
And your point is? Bald guy isn't described as fat.
"Thomas described the initial perpetrator as about 6'1", medium build, bald and with no facial hair. He described the driver as a "big guy", 5'8", at least 250 pounds, who then took off his shirt, "rushes at me, swings at me, misses and falls down.''
"big guy", 5'8", at least 250 pounds
Check out Gottlieb again. He appears to have a big build, check out the neck. Also, he could be shorter, as in short male syndrome ... would explain his demeanor.
The big guy isn't the one described as bald.
The bald line cook wouldn't call Gottlieb bald, IMO. We haven't seen a photo of Griffin, have we?

Thomas said he stepped out the back door of the restaurant Thursday night and watched a black Nissan pickup screech out of the parking lot
//
"I don't have to do it,'' the man allegedly said. "He's going to do it,'' and pointed to the driver of the Nissan.

I wouldn't, but that's my opinion.
We don't know his height. He's the oldest of the guys and when your older - many people are prone to fat necks - to be blunt.
There is a BALD man out there that hasn't been charged - regardless of his name. He started the whole thing, he gestured and announced who was going to attack the guy. He was one of the guys that surrounded the guy.
Yet, he is not charged? Why?
When it all shakes out - many moons from now - I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear - YES, he said the man was BALD, but we thought he was wrong. Wanna bet?
ABC had no dog in the fight. If anything, ABC would be considered liberal. ABC reports before all this the INITIAL PERPETRATOR WAS BALD.
There's a BALD man on the loose in Durham - and he has a Badge!
Gottlieb has hair. I have seen him in person, and he has hair.
We haven't seen Griffin, and he drives a Nissan truck.
Maggief,
I'm bald and I describe people as bald all the time. I did it about 3 days ago. I told someone at work - you know the Bald guy that works on the xxx system Software Development.
It's one of most obvious ways to describe someone. Very prominent characteristic.
TommyD,
Have you seen the pictures of him in about 3 papers - he's Bald in those pictures.
My grandfather had that little tuft of gray hair on the top of his head and the rest was pretty thin, but I always thought of him as bald, distinguished but bald...just my 2 cents
The DRIVER of the NISSAN is NOT the BALD guy.
The DRIVER was shirtless and took his cue from the BALD guy.
Griffin may be the black officer too.
Look at Post 1372 and tell me that guys NOT Bald.

Thank you Maggief for Post 1372 !
He may be in the pictures, but people do shave their heads and hair does grow back.
