Well it started with this, We have a word for fake republicans called RINO.
We need an acronym for someone who joins the military just for the political points. The people like Kennedy, Kerry, Carter, Murtha, and this clown need some kind of name tag so we know who we are dealing with. This technique is very common now and taught in college political science classes.

I wonder about your inclusion of Kennedy in your cited examples. I think Joe, Jr. (KIA) and John F. served honorably in WWII, likely without significant political career considerations. The draft probably was the overwhelming influence for them. But Robert, Edward (Fat Teddy), et. seq. all have managed to avoid any military service.
I also am not confident Murtha, in all fairness, had pre-enlistment high political aspirations.
Perhaps it would be more appropriate to define a group alias or acronym for the politicians who overly-emphasize their military service as a prerequisite to be a competent representative of the electorate. Kerry certainly is the poster boy for this definition. Ergo, please consider "Kerryman(plural Kerrymen)" for your objective.
Military service, whether shuffling paper or lobbing grenades, certainly does not foretell exceptional political leadership; witness Carter, Kerry, McCain, McGovern, and Murtha.
USAP
Uniform service for advancing politics.
Great idea! Then it can be argued that politicians who use their service like Kerry used his, are Kerrymandering.
Fraudulent Use of Conventionial Khakis to Help Elevate Ambitions Downstream
Along the lines of RINO, MINO, and WINO, how about
PINO = Patriot in name only?
Your "Kerrymandering" is good--it caused me to reconsider. I think I've got it! (I'm easily influenced by big bribes and big boobs.)
How about "Kerrybraggers" for the individuals and "Kerrybragging" for what they do?

I was trying to think of one for Clinton, but he dodged military service....
LOL!!
Why not just drop the original "Selective?"
I was searching for the "Y"
thanks
I always thought that the military would change/indoctrinate anyone...
Perfect!! One word, and people would know exactly what you meant.
