9. Ah, men. Running a little late for work, they often can be seen grooming and shaving while driving. To be certain, this is never an issue for those of us of the female persuasion. Heads up, gentlemen. Grooming while driving was ranked as the ninth-most annoying driver behavior.

This brainless twit needs to have another look around. I've never seen a man shaving whilst driving. I've seen many women applying makeup, usually to their eyes, whilst driving.

My #1 is cutting left turns. I can't tell you how many times someone has cut across my lane while making a left turn.

Dang it! Make a good, sharp left turn. Do not cut across lanes. Sorry if you actually have to turn your steering wheel more than 10 degrees.

I hate drivers who go up to the very end of a lane marked as "closed" then try get into the open lane, ahead of those of us who actually changed lanes when we saw the sign.

AND yes, I will close up on the car in front of me to keep them out. They can wait forever as far as I'm concerned.

Number one, considering the number of times I've nearly been nailed by somebody blowing off a stop sign whilst talking on their phane and trying to steer an out of control vehicle with one hand.

#1 and #2 often go together, especially with women.

#3...I despise tailgaters with a passion, and I drive in the right lane because I drive at the speed limit. Don't like drivers that obey the law? Then pass.

Number 3 - it's only a matter of time before some imaginary squirrel runs out in front of my car and that tailgating jerkoff behind me gets to taste metal.

Arrrgg.

I have no issue with people talking on their cell phone as long as they don't slow down so much they impede the flow of traffic or start weaving from side to side in their lane. If people can talk on the phone without doing that, go for it. Otherwise, stay off the phone.

And those people who can't signal in my book should be shot.

Women gossiping with other women on Cell Phones in their SUV's. You can tell when someone is gossiping vs. talking serious business.

#5 is the worst! Especially when you turn on your turn signal and are 10 or 20 car lengths out in front of the guy... And STILL he tries to keep you from changing lanes... grrrr!

Due to the fact that I get into deep hot water with motorcycle riders every time I write something negative about motorcycles driving in between lanes, I feel it necessary to post the following disclaimer: I did not conduct the survey. Hagerty Insurance did. That said, the survey concluded that motorcycles that split lanes are No. 8 on the list of what infuriates drivers the most.

This pisses me off, too, especially when I'm on my motorcycle. Talk about a good way to make yourself dead . . .

#2 should be #1. I've seen more incidents of road rage triggered by people trying to get past some left-lane hog than for any other reason, including getting cut off. If you're going no faster than cars to the right of you, you need to move over to one of the lanes on your right. Doesn't matter if you're doing the speed limit - unless you're a patrol officer, it's not your job to enforce the speed limit in the fast lane.

People who insist on cruising in the passing lanes are probably more dangerous than the speeders they're blocking.

Men grooming behind the wheel? I'm old and I've never even seen this--ever. Women on the other hand...

How about the person who speeds up to pull out in front of you from a side street/driveway, only to slow down once he's out on the road. And usually, there's nobody behind you. So why couldn't he wait until you passed him?

I can't believe that running stoplights/stop signs isn't on the list.

As well as:

Drivers who don't turn from the appropriate lane.

Drivers who signal the wrong direction when turning.

Drivers who get too close to the center stripe when oncoming traffic approaches.

Of course, some of these things happen *because* somebody is yakking on their cell but typically the yakkers are the ones driving too slow, weaving, not braking properly, not turning the car sharply or just behaving cluelessly while driving.

People who are too dense to understand the simple fact that the posted speed limit applies to all lanes.

Some are under the mistaken impression that the left lane is an American Autobahn. It ain't.

Item #1 on this list is actually misleading. It's not the talking on cell phones that annoys me, it's the way it affects the person's driving (which usually manifests itself in the form of #10, #6, or #2 on this list).

I had the lovely experience last week of coming upon a car driving at 50 mph in the left lane of a roadway where the speed limit was 65 mph. Sure enough, the guy was on his cell phone -- oblivious to the world around him.

The best way to deal with this crap is to lay on the horn so that the perpetrator can't possibly carry on the phone conversation.
