My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Well, right now I can't. Like the birds you'll have to get your own. ;)

Yesterday you said you were hungry, I just wondered if that is still the case today.
To: bentfeather
Oh, as a rule I don't remember yesterdays. I'm too busy imagining today and tomorrow. I'm also a nut and it's up to you to guess whether I have any idea of what I'm talking about.

Reflections before the Firefight
Dusk slides into darkness
and I strain to watch the shadows
watching ever for one that moves
one that shouldnt
Its become too ordinary
living in that silence before battle
and than coming alive
and dodging mortality
Fear with my powered eggs
pain with my grounds filled coffee
and stress, just another dressing
on the table of war
I remember my car
and the girls that were so fetching
sitting inside there so sweet to see
as I slid my hand down their legs
Now I test infallibility
as on each day I strive
afraid of deaths hollow rattle
wondering if Ill live to ever marry
What guy wouldnt
wanna be with his high school sweetheart
wondering if you really reap what you sow
as I await combats grimness

Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated. I'm an old vet (Not quite sword and pike days but close) I have over the years scribed poems of war and combat. Something are powerful enough to leave a permanent mark as it were. Its easy to write of them, for they are never far away.

Good morning! Cloudy (which also means cool, here in SE Asia) day today. Wouldn't mind a lovely rain, cool and fresh.
Seasons come, seasons go
The rain returns every year
fresh, cool, free, enjoyable
