7. He speaks double-speak. I always think I have to examine every word to decipher it. When asked in court about a toxicology report, he could have just said no toxicology tests were performed. Instead, he said there was no toxicology report available. I don't know if this means there is a toxicology report, but it's not in his office or if there is no report or something else. Pure double-speak.

I tend toward the theory that the CourtHouse Crowd are the actual operators of said enterprises. Why bother with a middleman?
The cops arrived at 1:22, but I think they were called at 1:14. That's 21 minutes between Kim's call to 9-1-1 (12:53) and the security guard's call to 9-1-1. Subtract about 3 minutes for Kim to notify the security guard and the security guard to try to talk to Mangum before calling 9-1-1, and there's about 18 minutes left. Subtract another 3 minutes for Kim to drive to Kroger from being somewhere in the vicinity, and that leaves 15 minutes unaccounted for.
On what do you base your theory? That would be an unusual arrangement.

I wrote what was in Kim's statement... She said she went to Krogoer's looking for an off duty cop but found only a security guard who called 911...
As far as the early police statements go, remember we [they] had:
1. A woman claiming she was raped.
2. DNA on her with her claiming no other contemporaneous sex.
3. Mouthpieces commenting without knowing of the various contradictory statements. The police spokesman's job is to be on board once the various police believe a crime was committed.
The problem with this case is that when Mangum turn up lying to the police, Nifong [it was out of police hands by then] did not turn back on Mangum and demand an explannation. Now maybe Nifong did privately and was too far out publically and politically to do so then, but he did not publically.
I would say its very plausible that the "Adult Entertainment" clubs - Bunnyhole, et al - could be owned by CourtHouse Crowd types. If not directly, at least indirectly.
It would be interesting to see who the actual owners are. Maybe one day a newspaper might actually get curious...
