BBC: Hasselhoff tennis ejection denied
The BBC Online | 7/5/06 | BBC

The All England Club has denied press reports that a "drunken" David Hasselhoff had to be removed from the Wimbledon tennis championships. Security guards "knew nothing" of the claims, said a spokeswoman, adding the former Baywatch star "wasn't ejected".

He tried to enter the press centre while searching for Court 13 but was not correctly accredited, she added.

The actor, who is filming an advert in the UK, was treated for cuts last week after an accident with a chandelier.

He had hit his head on the light fitting after using the gym at the Sanderson Hotel in the city's West End.

Shards of glass entered his right arm and a tendon was severed.

The 53-year-old recently cancelled a planned role in a pantomime at a venue close to the tennis tournament.

He was to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the New Wimbledon Theatre this Christmas in his first pantomime appearance.

But it clashes with US reality TV series Got Talent, in which the former Knight Rider star will judge aspiring entertainers who are competing for a $1m (£542,000) prize.

Hasselhoff spent 11 years playing Mitch Buchannon in TV's Baywatch.

We've shown too much interest, thus the press feels they're just giving us what we want. "Getting around" in this case means we're helping reawaken a publicity whore. ACK! Don't feed the Hoff ('cept it's so darned amusing)! (LOL)

It seems that Rush Limbaugh and The Hoff have something in common - they both have problems with their ejections.
