Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Then world behind and home ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hmph! My phone went kaput this morning! I sent a text message to my brother and then this came up on the screen:
Crash dump
Analyzer 2.1
Nested Crash
Then it shut off and the keys started flashing and that was it...would do nothing more.
Virgin told me to return it and get another. Walmart said I couldn't because I didn't keep the box! I said "Nobody told me I had to keep the box!" I kept griping till they finally went ahead and gave me an exchange.
I sure am keeping the box this time!

Nothing good ever comes from something that begins with "Crash dump" :~\

No. I'm happy to say this was my first ever crash dump and not too much harm came from it. I just gotta re-do my contacts. That's a hassle.

We used the rubberized paint a lot at the beach house.. it's the surface on the dock, and on the boathouse roof, and a shed that's up above. You can use it white, or tint any color like paint, or even add a sand texture to it for a nonskid surface, that's what we did on the dock and boathouse roof.
It's neat sutff, and is thick and seals anything. You can even use it on leaky metal roofs like trailers. Snow Roof

Walmart said I couldn't because I didn't keep the box! I said "Nobody told me I had to keep the box!" Proper G.R.I.T.S. response, "I never think of keeping boxes from Walmart because I just assume you sell quality merchandise."
"Bless your heart."

Heh! What next? I gotta keep the cellophane I take off my DVDs when I buy 'em? How stupid, keeping a box! I'd practically ripped it to shreds trying to get the phone out of it in the first place, it was welded shut!
When I got done returning the old phone, they gave me a gift card worth the amount and I went back to get a replacement. They're locked up, so this lady had to get one out for me. When she handed it to me, she said "Be sure and keep the box!" Heh heh!! So all my griping about them not telling me caused a policy change.
So now the box and the receipt is put up in my closet.

I am not sure how much weirdness at our reception will be intentional, and how much will just be weirdness from all the family drama. At least I will be completely out of it.

Hey, sorry we missed wishing Matthew a happy birthday. It sounds like he had a nice time. You have such good boys and we love hearing stories about them...especially the funny ones.
Our kids are having fun with Gunner. He is a good dog...full of energy and loves to take shoes off the front porch, and chase the kittens.
Thegirl went with my parents and came back with G'nad's a week later. She had lots of fun, but split her head open a little on the back. A nurse friend said it wasn't bad and tied it together with the hair on either side of the cut. Being the bad mom that I am, I didn't look at it till just now. She'll have a little scar...it's about 1/4-/2" long.
I just went to the used clothing store and spent $80. Got some really cute stuff...mostly for thegirl and me, but the boys each got a couple pair of jeans. It's great because thenewboy plays really well in their toy corner while I shop.
It's pizza tonight and a salad.
How's your man's job hunt comming? He can have G'nad's job if he wants. :-)

We had a lot of fun that day.
We met a couple of state troopers and G'nad got a cool highway patrol baseball cap out of the deal...this may come in handy. :-)

I saw a woman at our BA CHEF meeting last night that was so astonishingly like you that I nearly died when she walked in! She's a new member and pulled her hair back the same way you do and everything.
No word on the job Steve interviewed for...no word yet.
That pup looks like a great dog!

SBC Disaster Relief just put out a call for medical workers to go to Lebanon to take care of refugees.
It's *at least* a two week commitment. There's no way I can go.
If my kids were grown, I'd go in a heartbeat...
