I remember when we were kids, we would sneak into the old neighbor's watermelon patch. He would come out yelling and we would run away. Then we would take the watermelon into the barn and bust it open.
We sat there and spit seeds at one another with bare feet and clothes that were still wet from being in the creek.
Damn I love summertime.

I have similar warm memories about the orange groves in Orange County, CA. Of course that was when there were still orange groves there. :)
