Believe it or not, Gary Glitter's conviction on child molestation charges could have consequences for Patriots fans. The former glam rocker is so disgraced that the National Football League is asking teams to refrain from playing his p opular anthem ``Rock and Roll Pt. 2" on game day. ``We've communicated to the teams that due to current events we'd like them not to play the song," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed yesterday. ``The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Teams understand the reason for the request." Glitter, 62, whose given name is Paul Francis Gadd, was sentenced to three years in a Vietnamese prison for committing obscene acts with two underage girls. Pats spokesman Stacey James said the team was considering removing the song even before the league made its request. He added that the Pats are reviewing music options that would give the club a ``unique" identity.

Maybe the NFL could ask Fox to clean up the ads they show too?

Why should the Patriots censor this music from a child molester? After all, Massachusetts is the home of homosexual marriage, where they need to be completely non-judgemental. Child molesting is simply another type of lifestyle choice / gender identity issue, isn't it?

Let's ban all music by artists who have ever been in trouble! We'll be left with polka music.
To: gubamyster
define trouble: are you putting drug possession and DUI in the same category as pedophilia?
I'm not.

Believe me I don't condone what Glitter has done, I'm just saying there are plenty of artists, & NFL players for that matter, who still get air time and play on game day.

OK.
I'd kinda like to see a polka themed opening.
Beats rap and nobody gets shot at a polka concert.

Child molesting is simply another type of lifestyle choice / gender identity issue, isn't it? Poor analogy, and the sort that gets folks like us in trouble. Some sins are wrongs committed against other people (murder, theft, false witness). Others are wrongs committed against G-d. (Idolatry, ignoring the sabbath) For some of us, all are wrong, but to the natural law crowd, only the former are wrong.

What a bunch of crap. There's nothing like being at a Jets game shouting "HEY!" with 70,000 other people in unison.
