I drive a 2005 Ford Freestyle and a 1999 VW New Beetle. They are good.

Here in my car
I feel safest of all
I can lock all my doors
It's the only way to live
In cars
Here in my car
I can only receive
I can listen to you
It keeps me stable for days
In cars
Here in my car
Where the image breaks down
Will you visit me please?
If I open my door
In cars
Here in my car
I know I've started to think
About leaving tonight
Although nothing seems right
In cars

I thought Larry the Cable Guy was hilarious as the tow truck.
I didn't know he was British, BTW...saw an interview of him and the guy's a Limey!

We saw it last night and I thought it was pretty good. Not the best Pixar movie I have seen, but it had it's funny parts and overall was a good movie. I would recommend seeing it.
Larry the Cable Guy was hilarious and the only truly "liberal" character in it was a VW van that was a hippie. He was portrayed as a moonbat, so it was all good. No politics, not Bush-bashing or anything offensive at all. Just a good, clean movie about cherishing the little things we have seemingly passed by in our hustle & bustle lifestyle.
Like I said, I would recommend it, espcially if you have kids.
To: Ultra Sonic 007
Just took the kids.
Fabulous--all the Pixar movies are good (A Bug's Life is my least favorite) and this one holds its own with Pixar.
A Red-state movie (the Piston Cup as opposed to the Winston Cup) with lots of funny details for Mom and Dad. Loved it!
To: Ultra Sonic 007
One more thing...
I think the so-so reviews of this film are largely that way because it is full of red state values. Some critics thought is was too retro, according to several sources.
My prediction: It's weak title held it back initially, but it will actually build audience as it goes on and buzz is generated. We plan to see it again, which is very unusual for my family.

Just got back from taking the kids to see it. And I liked it. Not the best Pixar has done (i.e. not as LOL funny as every single other one), but it was sweet. Super-family-friendly.
The whole movie seemed like a warm-up for the endtakes/credits... now those had me rolling.
Pixar rocks.

So how long did it take for the John Ratzenberger voiced character to show up in Cars?

Well it was a bit jarring to see Todd Rundgren instead of Ric Ocasek but he pulled it off pretty well. They did some decent updated versions of classic material and threw in some new stuff as well including the "Not Tonight" single. New album comes out Tuesday.

I liked it a lot. IMHO, it wasn't as good as
The Incredibles or
Monsters, Inc.,
two of my all-time favorite movies, but it was as good as the original
Toy Story.
I haven't read the thread, and I have to leave now, so if you've read this previously, I apologize...
DON'T LEAVE THE THEATER UNTIL THE CREDITS ARE OVER. YOU WILL DIE LAUGHING.
