So, what did you fellow Freepers think about Cars?
Question about "Cars."
Candy-O was a great album.
It made me happier than a twister in a trailer park.
I drive a 2005 Ford Freestyle and a 1999 VW New Beetle. They are good.
Don't go riding with boys in them.
Undead Thread candidate, I think.
Unnngh.
Went to see Cars last night.....Great Movie....good family fun...clean....funny....it was a great movie....I urge everyone to go to see it....
I really liked the singer...
Here in my car
I feel safest of all
I can lock all my doors
It's the only way to live
In cars
Here in my car
I can only receive
I can listen to you
It keeps me stable for days
In cars
Here in my car
Where the image breaks down
Will you visit me please?
If I open my door
In cars
Here in my car
I know I've started to think
About leaving tonight
Although nothing seems right
In cars
"Cars" by Gary Numan
I didn't know he was British, BTW...saw an interview of him and the guy's a Limey!
I knew we would eventually get around to a serious reply! FReepRegards!
We saw it last night and I thought it was pretty good. Not the best Pixar movie I have seen, but it had it's funny parts and overall was a good movie. I would recommend seeing it.
Larry the Cable Guy was hilarious and the only truly "liberal" character in it was a VW van that was a hippie. He was portrayed as a moonbat, so it was all good. No politics, not Bush-bashing or anything offensive at all. Just a good, clean movie about cherishing the little things we have seemingly passed by in our hustle & bustle lifestyle.
Like I said, I would recommend it, espcially if you have kids.
Oh great, now I'm going to have that song in my head all day.
Ah, you'll live. :O) Besides, what's not to like about the 1980s?
"Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?"
I've already seen it; I'm just asking about other people's opinions about it.
And coincidentally, I just became old enough to vote; children are a ways away for me.
"...what if your dope was on fire."
Bender: "Impossible sir...it's in Johnson's underwear."
Bender: "Impossible sir...it's in Johnson's underwear."
I forgot about that line. That's hysterical. Greatest (ridiculous, memorable) line for me was Anthony Michael Hall's explanation for having a fake I.D. made.... so he can VOTE!
I have a '99 Beetle. Fine German engineering my foot! That thing has been snakebit since day one.
My advice to anyone buying a car - if the owner's manual tell you to take it to the dealership to GET THE HEADLIGHT CHANGED, put the manual down and back slowly away.
