Things are going poorly for Paraguay.
They're replacing the keeper already?

We've got it on in Baghdad on the SuperSport channel.
All these Brits were gathered around the big TV and just as England took the field, the power went out here. You could hear the reaction all over the buiding. (I thought it was funny.)
Then the generators kicked in and we saw England score right off.

Alright, time to focus on the game. Enjoy it ladies and gents.

Beckham is like a savant. He can't dribble for crap, he can't defend, but man the guy can strike a ball.
To: soccer_maniac
he was tentatively playing already, hurt his hip in a friendly. then that attempt to stop the goal(by the head of his own team) he landed on it
dang, the keeper now held for over 6

US related soccer news. Bidding war now for Gooch. Middlesborough, Reading, and Fulham are all making offers. Middlesborough is prepared to spend up to 5 million pounds.
Claudio Reyna now wants to finish out the next year with Manchester City and finish his career in MLS. He just bought a $1.1 million condo in NYC.
Glad to see Englad's playing so well out of the gate.

1 million foreigners are expected in Germany. 100,000 of them are from England. The Brits are pumped about this World Cup.
To: Eurotwit
Even though it resulted in nothing, I was really impressed with Crouch's speed grabbing that ball in the corner. 7/10 forwards let it go out for a goalkick.

My son will be flying to Germany this Monday for a couple of games. All he and his buddies could get was two games.
He went to France for the last World Cup. He and his army buddies got to see most of the games!

I don't get Gary Neville. I have watched him play for England about 10 times, and ManU about 30, and I am still underwhelmed.
To: dogbyte12
I was about to comment on Neville also. He doesnn't seem to be playing very well, but I don't know any of his history.

I kinda agree, but who else should play?
I guess Carragher could, but I think Neville is more valuable offensivly.
